Geeta's Lime and Chilli Chutney 310 g (Pack of 6)

I must have tried nearly every lime pickle known to man - from Indian supermarkets, from little shops, in a jar, in a tupperware container, home-made, mass-made, major brands, small brands, no brands. I don't know whether it's just me, or whether it's a difference between Eastern and Western palates, but I've given up on far to many of them: most are salty nastiness, or so hot as to do you harm, or both.This is none of those. It's just a really, really nice lime pickle that goes with anything, spicy enough to be pleasant without being an instrument of torture.All that is merely improved by the amazing price here. If you can find this in a shop, it'll cost you three quid a bottle - but that's a big if, because supplies are hard to find and most of the major supermarkets don't routinely carry it. And you know what? At this price, with free delivery, I'm not even going to bother looking anywhere else...Now, that Geeta's Lime and Chilli Chutney 310 g (Pack of 6) they also sell looks really interesting... as does that Geeta's Papaya and Orange Chutney 300 g (Pack of 6)... where'd I leave those poppadoms...

This is a great tasting Chutney, sweeter that traditional Lime Pickle with a firmer texture but still with the sharpness of limes and heat from chillies to offset that. Can be good value on Amazon but the price does vary and it is worth checking out the Supermarket offers as they can undercut this significantly. Worth stocking up when on offer.

I was first introduced to Geeta's Lime and Chilli Chutney by a friend and ever since I totally hooked! WOW just heavenly delicious. Truly heaven in a jar! I think this is the best chutney in the world. I just hope they have this stuff in paradise.Fantastic value pack and an excellent FREE delivery service. Those are sold individually in some shops for around £3.50+ each! Expiry date is end 2014 so plenty of time to finish all of them and if you are like me and finish one every week then you will need to buy a lot more. Thank you Geeta and Amazon.

In my view this is the finest foodstuff known to man. Spicy, hot, sweet, fruity, tangy, fabulous lingering after-taste but not OTT.

This is an excellent product and not as widely available as it should be. A fine balance of sweet and heat which makes it perfect for pretty much all dishes and should not be limited to just Asian meals.

Very good lime pickle type flavour and not too spicy. Haven't quite gone as far as dipping a spoon in and eating straight from the jar like a friend does, but this has become one of my all time favourite indian cuisine accompaniments.

My wife's faverouite chutney - excellent quality every time - consistant taste and grat accompnayment for sandwiches, meals and especially good in wraps on a picknick

Very limey and chilliy, without being too much.I've tried quite a few lime chutneys both from jars and in restaurants, and in my opinion this is the best.
