Q: Description says power source is ac/dc. do i have to listen to them in order to chop my wood?

Q: When did Gerber come out with a Zombie green line which they call the Freescape? Why did they pick Zombie Green? Did someone like this color more?

The neon green is easy to spot in a forest floor of brown leaves. A wooden handle hatchet or one or neutral color is not so easy to spot when laid down. It has nothing to do with “zombies”.

Q: Would this be good for throwing?

No, far too heavy, and not an efficient design for throwing. Excellent for hacking, splitting, and banging stakes. I can cut through 4 inch thick black spruce with 1 or 2 swings.
