Gordon Ramsay's Healthy, Lean & Fit: Mouthwatering Recipes to Fuel You for Life Review: It's Gordon... - It's Gordon Ramsey's recipes, of course they're good. The recipes are healthy, balanced, and often easy to make or modify. I imagine it's like eating food prepared by the chef, but I've sadly never had the opportunity to confirm that. Review: Delicious complete meals that are fit and filling - When I first started to cook as a home chef, I stumbled upon The Art of Simple Food by Alice Waters. It was a revelation, instructions and techniques that I still take to heart a decade later. The binding may be thrashed and the pages stained, but most of the lessons and recipes that I learned are memorized. Since then I've found a few books that have a few good recipes and ideas, and others that got donated away. But nothing had been anything like Simple Food, until now; maybe this could see the same worn out binding. My wife had me get this because she wanted some healthier recipes and this book advertised them. We have been on a marathon of cooking recipes from this book the past week, and every one has tasted fantastic. These are not small portions to get the calories down, or leafy salads that leave you hungry. The meals have been filling and very tasty. Each recipe lists the nutritional info on the page for easy reference if you are counting nutritional values and easy ingredient lists and simple to follow instructions. Ramsay also provides insights and techniques to eating and cooking healthier meals. Overall the book is going to give you a lot of really good ideas to get cooking meals that have lower calorie content, but aren't going to make you feel like you are on a diet. And some of these, like the Cauliflower Tabbouleh and Lamb, are going to get added to my all time favorite list of meals to cook, healthy or not.

Yummy Yummy!
Many fun and good meals to make. Though I found the prep times on some recipes to be a bit longer than stated. I recommend this cookbook.

I believe this is how Gordon really eats.
I think I was expecting more. Don’t get me wrong, Ramsay has some decent recipes in this book, but it just confirms that eating healthy really limits what can be done in the kitchen. Most of the offerings are not anything that exciting or new IMO. I really do believe he eats this way the majority of the time to stay in such excellent shape. Definitely feels like a real glimpse into how he really eats.I genuinely do feel that if you take what he has to say seriously and commit to this book, you will be making a life change for the better.

Delicious, healthy, gourmet. Not overly difficult or elaborate
I’ve done like about 20 recipes of this book so far, 1 did not impress, 1/3 were good, 2/3 were great! I’m the process I’ve learned so many new flavors, condiments and nutritious ingredients. I’ve been able to find all ingredients at the Asian store and the organic market near Cape Canaveral, FL

Technical content review (no food review as taste is subjective)
Bought this cookbook because I was looking to learn how to cook good healthy food. I selected brand new condition and it was spot on, opening the book I can hear the bindings stretch. An easy way to describe it is like when you are issued the first new copy of a school textbook. However unlike how school textbooks have very thin pages, this book has sturdy thickness to each page. And yes smelling the pages, its brand new. Book contents 3 Categories: Healthy, Lean, Fit Each has Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks + sweets Each of these Breakfasts Lunches etc has at min 6 recipes, max was 13 in one of the dinners In total about 108 recipes by counting the contents page (not including the small notes on some recipes that further added variations to some recipes) A recipes page contains Small description about the dish Recipe lists (including how many it serves 2,4 etc) Numbered directions Nutrition facts Around ~85% of all recipes had a large picture to go with it (size of a whole page) Around ~50% of all recipes had a small note at the bottom, talking about recipe variations and or tips If I could ask for anything more from this book, I would request hot/cold food tab identifiers, as well as seasonal suggestions. EX1: smoothie recipe (cold, Summer), EX2: soup recipe (Hot, Winter)

Not for the simple cook
I bought this book by mistake . After receiving it, and reviewing, the pictures look appetizing, however it’s not for simple and budget cook. Didn’t try out any of the recipes. Also the book came damaged. Giving it away.
