The pillows roll down to put into a stuff sack which fit nicely in my backpack during a recent flight to Europe. They made it a bit easier to get some sleep during the flight and were handy on our coach tour as well.

I bought this to use when I sit in my recliner to watch tv at night -- I tend to fall asleep and have woken up with a crick in my neck-- well now that I use this, no more cricks! FYI mine came in a 1 inch or so flat box, I panicked, but no worries, it was vacuumed sealed and once I opened the bag it puffed up to its pictured size/shape. ☺ It is very comfortable: not too heavy, not too firm-- but is supportive (not flimsy) and the cover is soft.
