Bought this for my mom as a stocking stuffer and it was a hit. She loves cooking, and this opened her eyes to how many types of salt there are. You can really taste the difference.

There is nothing inside the box to separate (and keep safe) the 4 units of salts from slamming up against one another during the shipping process. As a result, I received 2 broken bottles of salt in my gift box which was wrapped in bubble wrap around the outside of the box, but was sadly filled with broken containers of sea salt and birch smoked salt upon receipt. It was rattling ominously of glass and rock salt before I even opened the box to find the unusable mess inside. Also, because it's a food item, it's not returnable to Amazon for a refund or a reshipment and at $45 for the order, it's an expensive lesson in frustration & persistence to find the proper channel to get the help you need for the said refund you need in order to eventually place a new order and hope (with fingers and toes crossed) that the new order isn't received in the same broken condition as the first order was. Sadly, both my orders were shipped in a small box without much additional padding to protect this product, and at $11÷ for these small bottles of salt, IMHO, they should be individually bubble wrapped, then settled in pockets of protective paper wrapping within the decorative box they come in on order to prevent them from slamming into one another during shipping!! These jars are way too delicate to be tossed so haphazardly into an unprepared box and then allowed the apes of shipping to handle them with their usual lack of care & finesse. But the salt flavors are totally worth taking a chance on the potential shipping foibles in order to receive their wonderful flavors!! The Icelandic people certainly know their way around flavored salts for fish and game meats and it's definitely worth your time to check them out if you've got a creative pallet and a grill. You won't be disappointed at all and will find a lot of uses from this set awaiting you and your grilling right through the winter season!! I hope you enjoy them as much as I am. They are all yummy in their own unique ways!

These 4 salt varieties are delicious. I would give this product a 5 star rating, but the packaging is awful. Cheap thin cardboard that was already broken open when I opened the Amazon box. It truly is a miracle that none of the bottles were broken with being fragile glass and just being tossed around in a box. The Saltverk company really needs to look into better packaging. The glass bottles need a sturdy cardboard box to keep the bottles safely in place for shipping. Then there would be less products being damaged, thus making more customers happy.
