Perfect for my use.
Based on other reviews I wasn't sure if this would work out but I love it. I was concerned about the space taken by the shoes but it's a non-issue. I am able to fit running shoes and shower slippers in the side, and my clothing, a thick workout belt in the main compartment, and lock, headphones, keys in the front section, and misc stuff in the other side pocket. I was also unsure about the handle since other reviewers complained about it, but I really like it. And the carry strap is comfortable when worn on the shoulder, and not so long so it's out of the way when using the handles. It's the perfect size for what I need and fits well in the gym locker. The only thing it could use is a bottle holder. Even something in the main compartment that would secure the bottle upright would be nice. I can fit my water bottle inside, but once had it leak in another bag so haven't packed it that way yet. The fabric is good and looks like it will hold up. If anything changes I'll post another comment but so far so good. It holds a lot in a small space making it really nice to carry.

Excellent bag!
Great bag for the price. I was originally looking at some of the Nike and Under Armor bags but I'm glad I came across this one. The price was much more reasonable and the quality seemed on par.A must-have for me was the shoe compartment. It opens from the outside of the bag and is separate from the main compartment. There is also a small vent on the side for moisture to escape. I've had other bags in the past and by the time I go to the gym in the evening, my clothes smell like sweat and shoes. The shoulder strap is very durable with metal clasps that are easy to remove. I typically keep the strap stored in the side pocket and just carry it by the top handle. If I need it, I can easily put it back on in a few seconds. The interlocking handle seems to be a cool idea, but I'm not yet sure on the design as it seems to come open by itself fairly often. The bag is all zipped up so it doesn't really affect anything, but it hasn't quite been useful. Perhaps I'm just using it wrong...Overall a great bag for the price and certainly the best I've seen for any bag under $40

Will soon order another
I ordered one of these a bit over 2 years ago, and it's about time for me to replace it. While 2 years isn't exactly lifetime quality, given the beating it takes, I think it's fair for the price.I use this bag 3-4 times per week. 2-3 or those times, it's across my shoulder as I walk about a mile to the metro from my home, take the metro a few stops, and then take it back to go to the gym in the evening. In it, I generally have a pair of sneakers, a change of gym clothes, gym gloves, ipod, headphones, water bottle, my lunch, a snack and a kindle. Even with all that stuff, there's ample room still in there. I sometimes need to take my laptop too -- which I don't really recommend to be honest. It works, but it stresses the bag and may explain why it has only lasted a bit over 2 years. (I used to take my laptop fairly often and have since stopped.)The side pocket (the one not for your shoes) became somewhat damaged a while back, where it was ripping on the inside top, so that it started to merge with the larger pocket. That was annoying, but not really that huge of a problem. It never fully merged so still functioned as a pocket. If the shoe compartment integrity had become compromised, that would be a much bitter problem - but it hasn't.My one complaint about the thing is that the plastic handle at top is annoying. It doesn't generally stay clipped indefinitely. I wish it had been a fabric Velcro design instead. But given that it's the best-priced bag with a shoe compartment and just the right size for the gym that I've found, I can look past that defect and order another.

Nice sized gym bag
I have gone through a lot of gym bags over the years. I am very pleased with this one. It is well made, looks very nice, and plenty of space, enough for extra pair of shoes, and sweatshirt. I use one end pocket for large bottles. I use the other end pocket, not for shoes, but for wet things when I'm done with my workouts. The fabric is heavier than I expected, thicker than many nylon duffels, but not as thick as canvas bags. Holds more than it appears because it is wide and rounded. I had no trouble putting it in a locker, it being soft sided and I usually take some things out for use at the gym. The handle is the best, two molded pieces fit together, making a comfortable grip. I can't see this being a problem unless you don't understand that they fit together. The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable, the best of any duffels I've owned. Average life on duffels I've owned, 18 months. If this lasts that, I'll be happy. For $25, I should by another.I think this bag will do well against moisture and sunlight, but not good against abrasion. Gym bag, or carry on okay, but checking, or buying for a teen, no way Jose.

Nice little bag for gym rats!
So, who's out there with a measuring tape trying to figure out the proportions of a gym bag, or any item brought online. I know, I know, read the fine print! That was what I did not do the first time I brought this little bag. I got the next size up because I loved some ladies online review about the bag, except that when the bag arrived it struck me how large it was. Then it hit me again --ladies at the gym generally carry more personal accoutrements then men, thus the glowing reviews from this buyer and the various sizes on this bag. It was no problem to return it and get the smaller size. This new one fits everything I need to take to the gym.Two pairs of shoes, change of clothing and a water bottle or two, plus lock, music player, etc., etc., it looks very smart from a design standpoint with the graphics on the side are outstanding. My only complaint is the lame shoulder strap that cuts into the shoulders and the lack of an inside pocket --for such a nice bag, OGIO totally skimped on these two items. What can I say, it's a nice little bag for the sweaty workouts at the gym.
