Madewell Women's The Sydney Crossbody Bag

I try not to love inanimate objects, but I love my new purse.It’s very high-quality leather and the hardware is solid.Definitely the real thing.The color of my dark green Madewell Sydney purse is exactly like as photographed.I like the roomier base of the bag, it holds a lot more than you would think. My iPhone, keys, lipgloss, wallet and sunglasses fit well with a lil room to spare.The magnetic clasp is powerful and the handles come in handy when I need to switch “carrying modes” to alleviate shoulder pain.The crossbody strap is adjustable and sturdy.This was my first “big purchase” since getting a full-time job again and I can happily say that I am glad I bought it for myself. I get tons of compliments on it, and I know me and this bag will have many adventures to come.I like the fact that I won’t be needing a new purse for a while. It seems very long-lasting and goes with my capsule wardrobe.Thank you for this awesome purchase!

Love this smaller bag after using larger Madewell totes for the last few years. Can be worn as crossbody or without the strap. Magnetic closure is a plus. Just wish inner pocket had zipper but otherwise great back on sale at half price.

Bag ripped and Amazon, Zappos and Madewell won’t help me repair or replace the bag. After a few months of use, the bag seam tore down the side, making the bag unusable. It’s a Madewell “Forever Bag” so I figured they must offer repairs, which they don’t. I’ve called all three vendors and they all say I need to contact someone else and no one will help me fix the purse. So I will never buy a Madewell leather product again, and I strongly advise never purchasing anything Madewell through a reseller such as Zappos or distributor like Amazon because it just allows them to give you a run around and point the finger to the next vendor if you need customer service. I’m very disappointed.

I can’t say how much I recommend this bag. The quality is great, it’s spacious and the color is wonderful.The quality is insane considering the price. You can adjust the strap which is great for all body types. The hardware is also great quality. I have gotten the hardware wet a bit and it hasn’t change an ugly color. I’ve also accidentally gotten the leather a little wet and it didn’t turn ugly. The natural wear on the bag is beautiful and I’m going to buy more bag from them for sure!
