Svbony Telescope Eyepiece 6mm 68° Wide Angle FMC Lens Planet Observation

I am new to astronomy and was looking for an extra lens to use with my telescope having in recent times purchased a birdwatching scope made by Svbony when I saw this on offer decided to give it a go. At x6 it is a powerful eyepiece and though it is wide angle can take some lining up on objects however the views of Jupiter I have got already make the purchase worthwhile, more than happy with this and am sure I will be looking towards this company’s optics again

The svbony redlines are fantastic quality for the reasonable price that they are. Great FOV and well made.

It’s an okay eyepiece.

Good bit of kit .

Wow is my review. I saw Saturn with a moon but could not really see the detail, I was at 108x when I think I would need to aim for 180x +. The most impressive was my first viewing of Saturn with loads of moons. It really had the feel of something just hanging in space in 3d (if that makes sense) I think I could see bits of detail. I have ordered a 2x Barlow to go with this lens. I would recommend over the stock lens that came with my telescope in fact I have on order a 20mm as well and will be getting the 15mm and 9mm lens of the same line up.

Great wide angle and clear compared to the equivalent eyepiece supplied with telescope. Comfortable to use, don’t need to have your eyeball touching the lens to see. Feels well made and quality heavy, which is all in my head I’m sure, but feels like you are getting your monies worth.

Now I am not an enthusiastic astronomer but when I first got my SkyQuest XT8 I purchased a set of 4 budget lenses. And budget they were too. So I decided to invest a little more money and bought this one. Great move and certainly worth the money. Great for looking at Saturn, also Jupiters rings are identifiable and the moons are discernible as small discs. If you were wondering, then go for it.

Decent for looking at the moon, the only thing is you have to keep your eyes steady! Slightest move and you end up seeing the plastic bit around the eye piece, which can be annoying. So you have to stand really still...
