Really impressed with this little scale. It's compact but feels surprisingly accurate and sensitive, especially when measuring very small amounts where a regular kitchen scale isn't precise enough. I like that it comes with a calibration weight and the display is easy to read. Switching between units is simple and measurements seem consistent as long as I use it on a flat, stable surface. The included cover is also useful for keeping the weighing surface protected when I'm not using it. For the price, it's a handy little precision scale and does exactly what I needed it for.

Solid scale! One thing that I’d like to remind everyone as a scientist is that precision and accuracy are two different things. While the scale may be precise down to 0.001 g, that doesn’t mean it’s accurate to 0.001 g. From my observations, it seems to be accurate at about +/- ~5 mg. That’s really good for a scale of this price. If you do need a scale that is accurate to a single milligram, then you really need a scale that goes down to 0.0001 g. Always go a digit below what you need because the last digit is sorta like the scale’s educated guess. If you’re okay at getting things accurate down to 10 mg, then this scale is perfect. If you want to measure single milligrams, then this scale is probably not going to fit the bill. The only issue I do want to point out is that the manufacturer listed the accuracy at +/- 1 mg, which is absolutely not the true accuracy. However, it is a random Chinese scale, so the expectations should be low to begin with. Overall though, good scale. It’s not winning any premium material awards or breaking any precision and accuracy records, but it is a solid scale given the price. If you need to measure anything at the accuracy of as low as +/- 10 mg, then this scale will fit your needs. It is portable too, which is nice especially when considering lab milligram scales are often bulky and have wind guards. It’s nice to have something close to what I can get in the lab but on the go. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done and it really isn’t that bad compared to what I get in the lab. In the lab, our scales can often jump wildly and never settle in on a final weight. They can be quite fiddly too and require constant rebalancing. In that regard, this scale is actually better. Take that with a grain of salt though.

Excellent for measuring weight of powder. I use it to add mineral powder to RO water for my home shrimp tank, a process we call it re-mineralization of purified water。

Accurate enough! I used this scale to reduce my dosage of ADHD amphetamine medication from 25 mg to 20 mg. The granules from the medication, which come in a capsule, weighed exactly 300 mg straight out of the 25 mg dose capsules. After doing the math, I was able to measure and recapsule the grains. Everything worked out exactly as expected, and I ended up with the correct quantity of capsules, each containing 240 mg of the contents. The small bowl with the pour spout (I'm not sure what it's actually called) that comes with the scale is a fantastic tool, and I couldn’t have done this without it. It worked perfectly for pouring the granules into the new capsules. Overall, I’d recommend this scale. It was cheaper than the $100 appointment to adjust my dose, especially since I already had a couple of month’s supply of meds at the higher dose.
