Wonderful
I use to read from my ipad but my eyes get tired from the brightness of the screen. With Kindle, I can now read comfortably. It is also very light and easy to hold.

😂 Particularmente, prefiro o acabamento do 11ª geração.

Game changer for studying and research...
Since the dawn of Kindles and e-Readers I never felt the need or the point of having one. Mainly because I not an avid reader and if I'm going to read, I prefer a real book. I like the touch and feel of paper and the smell of especially old books. Recently, I acted on an impulse and grabbed one on sale for under £100. It wasn't exactly impulsive because it was partly prompted by my need to read lots and lots of papers for my research and I was struggling of finding the time to fire my laptop to read or use my phone screen. to my surprise, I fell in love of the Kindle the moment I took it out of the box. I uploaded few papers in PDF (and importantly converted them to Kindle format) and I was immediately immersed into an enjoyable reading experience. I can read while walking on a treadmill in the gym, while waiting for uber, in the car, while waiting on an order in a restaurant, and (literally) while sitting on the toilet. Not only that, I can mark and highlight and take notes as I'm reading which I can later retrieve for my research. It's brilliant! What I really achieved in few days is far more than I achieved since I started. More importantly, it turned something I really hate into something quite enjoyable. Why it is any different from reading on a mobile device or iPad or a laptop? One word: Distraction. On a Kindle you can only do one thing and that's READING. There are no disruptive notifications or other apps. You don't turn it on and suddenly forgot what you where here in the first place. And of course, the reading experience itself is as close as it gets to holding a real piece of paper. I never appreciated how much strain a mobile or laptop screen puts on my eyes until I started using the Kindle. If you're a student who have to read, especially for research or someone who needs to read reports for work... seriously this is a very good investment. Tip: if you're a student using Zotero, you can drag and drop directly from Zotero into the Kindle app on your desktop to convert and add to library. You can later access your Kindle notes and transfer them back to Zotero or any other note taking app you use.

Amazing everyday Kindle – light, clear screen, and battery that actually lasts
I recently bought the Amazon Kindle (16 GB) – Matcha color and have been using it daily, so I wanted to share a detailed review that might help others decide. Design & Build Quality Lightweight and compact: This is genuinely one of the lightest Kindles I’ve used. It’s very comfortable to hold in one hand for long reading sessions, whether I’m sitting on the sofa or lying in bed. Matcha color: The Matcha shade is subtle and pretty without being too bright or childish. It looks modern and a bit different from the usual black devices. Comfortable to hold: The edges are smooth and the size is perfect – not too big, not too small. It fits easily into a handbag or backpack. Screen & Reading Experience Glare‑free display: The screen is truly glare‑free, which makes a big difference when reading in bright rooms or near a window. It feels much closer to reading on real paper than on a phone or tablet. Sharp text: The text is crisp and easy to read. I can reduce the font size and still read comfortably, which means I see more words per page. Adjustable front light: The built‑in light is excellent. I can read in complete darkness without straining my eyes, and I like that the brightness is easy to control depending on whether it’s day or night. Comfortable on the eyes: Because it’s e‑ink and not a normal bright screen, I can read for a long time without the eye strain I usually get from my phone. Performance & Page Turns Faster page turns: The page turns are noticeably faster and smoother compared to older Kindle models I’ve seen. There’s very little lag when flipping through pages or opening books. Menus and navigation: Moving around the menus, opening the library, and searching for books feels quick and responsive. Battery Life Long‑lasting battery: The battery life is one of my favorite things. With regular daily reading, I don’t need to charge it very often. It easily lasts for many days, even weeks, depending on how much I read and how bright I keep the light. Charging: It charges via USB-C (if that applies to your model – adjust if needed), which is convenient because many other devices use the same cable. Storage & Content 16 GB storage: 16 GB is more than enough for a huge number of ebooks. I don’t have to worry about running out of space anytime soon. Perfect for book lovers and students: It’s ideal for people who read a lot, whether for pleasure, school, or work. You can easily carry an entire library with you. Comfort & Everyday Use Great for travel and commuting: Because it’s so light and small, it’s perfect for trips, commuting, or even reading in cafés. It doesn’t take much space and it feels sturdy enough for everyday use. Quiet and distraction‑free: Compared to reading on a phone, this Kindle helps me focus only on reading, without notifications or social media distractions. Pros Very lightweight and compact – easy to hold with one hand Glare‑free screen that feels like real paper Adjustable front light for reading in the dark or bright light Fast page turns and smooth performance Excellent battery life – lasts for many days on a single charge 16 GB storage – can hold thousands of books Beautiful Matcha color that looks unique and stylish Cons No physical page‑turn buttons (if you prefer buttons, you might miss them) You still need a separate case for better protection This device is mainly for reading only – which is a good thing for focus, but not for people who want apps and videos (that’s more of a tablet’s job) Overall Opinion I am very happy with this Kindle. It’s light, comfortable to hold, and offers an excellent reading experience with a clear, glare‑free screen and long battery life. It does exactly what it promises: it makes reading simple, enjoyable, and easy on the eyes. I highly recommend this Kindle to anyone who loves reading, wants to carry many books without the weight, or wants a dedicated device for focused, distraction‑free reading.

Read this if you’re not sure about getting a Kindle
I’m writing this for anyone who still can’t make up their minds whether or not they need a Kindle, or who are not sure if it’s worth it. I’ve been there and I was so uncertain about getting one. Even after ordering it, I thought of canceling the order million times. But I didn’t and I’m thankful I didn’t! IT IS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY! It was way above my expectations and it’s not complicated at all as some claim it to be. More importantly, it doesn’t take away the joy of reading from a physical book, since you don’t feel like reading from a digital screen at all and you can still experience the feeling of reading from a paper somehow. It’s perfect for people who tend to read in darker places. I love reading before bed and in the dark and I used to feel slightly uncomfortable holding my book and my reading light. With a Kindle, it’s only one small device that’s extremely light-weight and with built-in light that you can adjust to your eye comfort. It’s SO convenient when you’re traveling or spending some time on the road. It’s portable and can fit anywhere, I always put it in my waist bag and it fits perfectly. And although it’s a small compact device, it doesn’t feel like that when reading, the 6 inch screen is a perfect size and you can adjust the font and font size easily. Another amazing option that I knew nothing about until I got one, is the built-in dictionary/ translator/ Wikipedia search. I used to read with my phone around so I can search the new/ unfamiliar words I come across, which would sometimes lead to distraction and ending up using my phone. With this feature, I can read and still look up new words from the same device and not having to have my phone around. In short, it’s the best experience for any reader. And if you really like reading, don’t worry about the fact that you might not use it often or you wouldn’t find it as interesting as a real book. It’s easy and fun to use and you can take it anywhere you go.
