Good product, but the description by this Amazon.com 3rd party seller is inaccurate. I wanted the product with the ingredients listed in the description, but instead I was shipped a different version of the product with over 30 ingredients some of which I want nothing to do with such as: "Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Glycol Distearate, Glyceryl Undecylenate, Fragrance".The product I expected has about 16 ingredients, which for the most part are all natural, plant based ingredients such as nut & seed oils, botanical (leaf, flower, root) essential oil and extracts, and charcoal. This is what is listed in the item description for ingredients, but the product shipped to me was something very different.I've attached photos of the labels from what I received and also from the empty bottle I already have at home and was hoping to replace.Since this item is non-returnable, I called Amazon.com and they said they will refund me in full.

For years, literally from the first time I saw your product in store to now, I’ve used you guys EXCLUSIVELY. Lotion, this shampoo, conditioner, kids’ wash and lotion etc.I will never buy even one of your products again.Every single formula to every product I buy has been changed completely. It all even smells and looks like cheap drug store products at a “natural product” price point.My head and body (and my family’s) are completely broken out in an itchy reaction. The moisturizing lotion went from smelling like frankincense and myrrh to smelling like dried out soap and borax. Seriously.I’m sure I won’t be getting all of my money back for the six products (two shampoos, conditioner, lotion, leave-in conditioner, hair mask) I’ve bought since it magically became overly scented, Suave quality garbage, nor will I get my hair and skin health back overnight, but at least I can warn others. Too bad I can’t give zero stars.

I have mild eczema on my scalp, but there are certain times that the itch is so painful that I want to scratch myself bloody. I found this shampoo a couple years ago, and I tried it because it's color-safe. It worked miracles. Soothed considerably with the first wash, and within three uses I felt absolutely no irritation. I was then able to control my symptoms with once-a-week use and my regular shampoo the rest of the time.I do agree with other reviewers that the formula has changed, however. While it is still very soothing and will leave your scalp very clean, it seems to stick to your hair. It's really difficult to fully rinse out with just water and leaves an greasy-feeling residue behind if you don't shampoo a second time with an alternate product. I think that's a small inconvenience for to the fantastic symptom relief I still get, though, and I will still continue to buy it.

This is the only shampoo I use now on my scalp - it's so good! I have pretty severe psoriasis on my entire scalp and within a couple of weeks of using this every other day my psoriasis has receded to just the back of my head and MUCH more manageable than ever before. I've been using it for a few months now and I swear by it. If I stop using it to give my scalp a break then it starts flaring again, but this quickly clears it. I still have psoriasis, but this shampoo REALLY helps manage it.

I was kind of scared because I read the reviews first but I'm glad I ordered it anyway. I'm caucasian and I read that it was the best thing for psoarisis, but I was afraid that it would make my hair greasy. Many of the reviews said that it left people's hair greasy too but I figured hey what would it hurt? I'll just wash my hair again if it does. I also saw people say it stinks. I guess that's a matter of preference, what one likes another may not. I don't think it smells bad, and the scent is not strong or overpowering. My hair came out very thick and full of body, and my scalp is not itchy or dry. I could see some flakes in my hair that it exfoliated and I just combed them out. I don't feel any build up on my scalp, not even on the problem areas. I am very pleased with my purchase and will continue to buy it. Thank you so much.

I was so excited to try what looked like a very natural product. Imagine my surprise when after I washed my hair and the perfume smell was so strong, it didn’t go away for most of the day and I finally had to rehash my hair because of my sensitivity to scents. They claim they use essential oils. This is not the smell of essential oils, which will not stay in your hair all day and do not cause allergic reactions. If you have any sensitivities to scents you will not be able to handle this very strong - perfume smelling shampoo. Unfortunately it did a good job on my scalp and hair - it is the perfume smell that ruined it.

Great Product. I have scalp psoriasis, lots o flakes, itching and redness.... All that worked was medicated shampoo, that you are not supposed to use daily, once or twice max a week, and some medicated localized drops.With this I have a daily shampoo that works very well, smells very nice, leaves my hair clean, clean feeling, manageable and just all around nice looking. And really has helped with the itching and flaking. Greatly recommended.Just a note, it doesn't cause a change magically over night, but gradually over the course of 1 or 2 weeks you will notice a great improvement. I am on my second bottle.

If you have scalp problems or dermatitis, this shampoo is a miracle. I have very sensitive skin and a sulfa allergy. I've spent tons of money on prescription meds for my scalp probs and nothing has worked except this shampoo. I use the whole line of black soap products now.Shipped very quickly! !

I have used this product many times before but this seller(Goddess Hair & Beauty Salon) has quite clearly opened the bottle and diluted it with water. Usually a dark brown almost copperish colour the one I just received looks like cloudy apple juice with bubbles on the top so I would recommend using a different merchant.

Very disappointed! I have been using this shampoo for 2 years!! It’s the only product that gives me some relief to my itchy, sore, psoriasis.. without this shampoo my scalp really hurts. I used to buy 2 bottles in every order, it lasted months. So this is my first order in 2018, Sadly the company has changed the product formula adding shea butter and some nasties, it’s definitely not the same product and it does nothing for my scalp problem. Here a pic of the new bottle (i am sending it back for a refund) the product different colour is very noticeable. Emailed the company requesting them to return to their classic formula. Not normally a fan of shea moisture as a lot if their products leave my hair sticky or dries it out. However this leaves my scalp and hair squeaky clean without being too drying.I normally section my hair into 4 and finger detangling with a spray bottle of water and Coconut oil to help. Then, once my hair is detangled, I spray my hair with more water and scrub my scalp in sections. I then jump in the shower and rinse it out, then condition.The shampoo itself is quite runny (so be careful) and smells to me like the fruit salad penny chews, which is nice.

I repurchased this product after using up my first bottle and being very happy with it cleaning my hair thoroughly. The formula has changed completely from the original one, going from a dark brown colour with a syrupy consistency to a light beige, thick, conditioner like consistency that smelled HORRIBLE. immediately had to wash my hair multiple times after because it did absolutely nothing for my hair, didn't work for dandruff and smelled disgusting. If you plan on purchasing this product make sure to find the older formula with the dark brown shampoo and not the light one otherwise you will be very disappointed.

I have used this alot but noticed recently that the new formula really is not as good as before. This is probably as effective as any normal shampoo now and I have to re-use so much more often. I was about to re-buy as I don't know what other options I have but I will look elsewhere. Such a shame to think the company ethic's have changed so much....must have been bought out. I will not buy this again and I recommend you find an alternative as well.
