Works well but not user friendly
I bought this light to use when sea kayaking. The light appears to be well made and robust, it is small and has two belt loops allowing it to be securely attached by a strap (not supplied). It comes with an adapter that clips into the belt loops turning it into an inch wide spring clip, great for attaching to clothes, hat brims, webbing straps but it doesn't grip well enough for use in waves. The description mentions that this light is dual function allowing steady light or flashing mode. It does, but to change mode you have to unscrew the lens, remove and change round the battery and then screw the lens back on! This is not something I would be willing to do at sea.In summary, good light, not really dual function, more like dual configurable.

Great
I use these little gems on the straps of my backpack to give me more road presence and visibility when motorcycling here in india. Better than anything made for cycling and at a fraction of the cost of bike items

Effective ~ Expensive ~ Slight design problem
These little lites are very effective ~ they clip on easily to your Buoyancy Aid and are definately waterproof, I keep mine on my BA all the time and have carried out loads of capsize and rescue practices with them on. They are expensive and a small design problem is that to switch them on and off you need to turn the plastic cover which also releases the battery if you turn it too far. Having said that, you can be seen in the dark and other alternatives to kayak lighting are even more expensive, so just be careful I bought 2 and lost the cover on one about a year after having it, have just bought another one because I do quite like them ~ bit of a mixed review but can't think of a reasonably priced alternative.

flashlight
Good bright light which can also go on flash mode. Quite small so can even fit in a coat pocket when not in use. With the strap you can fit it on your head, your arm or just hold it.Great to keep in car or home incase of emergency. It switches on by swivelling the bulb cover so you do need to double check that it's off.

excellent
i used it to help my old Jack Russell at night when we are out walking. i don't know if it helped him but from an illumination point of view very effective.

Not what I expected
Smaller than I expected and am not totally convinced that it would be seen from 1.5km away. Have kept it anyway because although I don't think it would be any good in a 'survival' situation I can use it for other things.

Does the job
Works fine. I got two and one is considerably stiffer to twist than the other. Works as expected and easier to keep track of dogs in dark now but it is more expensive than some other options.

Impressed....
I am very impressed with these tiny lamps. I ude these for kayak for my own security. They are rugged with lots of power. The flashing male them very east to se. It's a "must have". 100% satisfide with both the lamps and the compagny.
