This is a great Ethernet switch with lots of features not found on a switch this price.. It cleared up an RFI problem I had with my Linksys switch that was killing my HF reception.

Quiet, efficient and fast!
I use the PowerConnect 2808 8-port at home as my main gigabit switch (rather than the built-in switch in the modem). It's never had any issues and I've been very happy with both the power consumption and noise. I owned 2 Netgear gigabit switches before (with built in fans that were both noisy and drained my battery backup system in test simulations. I should note I've been a huge fan of Netgear products, but this is one where I had it to Dell. I only wish I had gotten the 16 port version, as I currently have all ports used and I'm afraid for when I need that 1 more.5 stars.
