Highly recommend for kids and adults alike!
Last year our school district provided all students with ipad air devices to help them with their schoolwork. My kids of course were thrilled, but my youngest struggled during his writing assignments. So we experimented with a cheap keyboard and case I found locally with the thought that if it helped him we'd invest in a better keyboard at a future date. The addition of that greatly improved his writing experience and assignment completion rate, so we decided to get him a much nicer keyboard before the new school year began. I started trying to research what to buy on my own and frankly I found myself overwhelmed by so many choices. So I contacted one of the district tech guys and asked what he would recommend and this keyboard is the exact link he sent me. Anyway, now that my son has used it at home and at school for a short time now I feel its time to leave my own review for those looking for similar products. Here's what you should know right away.1. It doesn't come with a case. I initially wanted both, but after a lot of research found very few of them that met what my expectations would be and none of them were in our price range.2. This keyboard attaches to the ipad itself. You plug the cord into the charging port to power it up. It is not a bluetooth one. Our first one was, but I have found we don't miss it at all.3. This is super easy to use. My little guy is just shy of 10 and is super speedy with it and enjoys it a lot.4. It comes with a small list of shortcuts so you'll want to read it if that interests you. Otherwise there are basic instructions for setup, but even that us super simple. Plug it in and off you go.5. There is a lot of space to personalize it for yourself or your child. I wrote my son's name pretty much all over it because it is the same keyboard the tech people have admin using at the schools.6. Keep the box the keyboard comes in as a travel case. My son takes it to and from school in the box so it doesn't get damaged. You'll probably want to do the same thing if you have a child using it.So I had to give it 5 stars and would definitely purchase it again if my other children need one. Its easy to set up, use, and is very sturdy so its perfect for on the go use and in the classroom.

Perfect for on-the-go journaling/blogging ... lightweight and portable, it travels well!
I purchased this to take along on vacations so I could journal (and ultimately blog) about my journeys. The first test was just completed: a 2-week cruise around Alaska (Ketchikan, Endicott Arm, Juneau, Hoonah, Anchorage, Kodiak, Homer, and Sitka). I wanted a full-sized keyboard, portable, and easy to manage that would work with my iPad Pro.I chose this for the size, the fact that it is powered via my iPad (rather than needing to be charged), and the fact that it's a wired connection via the lightning cable rather than Bluetooth. Nothing against Bluetooth, but not having to deal with pairing simplifies things a lot. This performed beautifully! Connected easily, and no problems at all with performance. It has some nifty shortcuts, many I didn't use, but at least they're available. Despite being a full-size keyboard, the small size means I can tuck this into my carryon along with other necessities and it doesn't take up much space at all. It's durable, too -- the wire connector appears to be sturdy. I used this a couple of times per day to record events and activities, so it was in and out of my bag often. No problems at all. It's coming along on my next adventure: a cruise around the North Atlantic (including Greenland, Iceland, and Norway) for 6 weeks.

Stops working for no apparent reason after return date
This worked fine for awhile, now after only a few months, it only works intermittently. I'll be right in the middle of a project and it stops. Sometimes it comes back on, mostly not. It might work the next time I try it, but might not. Unfortunately, the return date has passed. Don't buy this product.

Of all "portable" keyboards for the iPad, this is the best I've found.
Amazing keyboard.I agree with other reviewers in these negatives:(1) I wish the keys were angled (kind of like a staircase from the space bar up to the numbers)(2) the kill switch is just above the delete key, causing me to turn off the iPad involuntarily (though pushing the same key turned it right back on!)(3) I kind of wish it had back-lighting, but then that would drain the power out of my iPad too fast, so this is not a big negative at all.(4) I kind of wish the cord came out of the top right corner, instead of 3-4 inches from the right corner, because as it is, I have trouble pushing the keyboard right up flush against my iPad (but this is not a big inconvenience).(5) It would be neat to have a flip-down stand on each back corner so the keyboard would slant up. (BUT I typically use this on my lap, since that's where I usually use my iPad when I'm away from my computer, so this is not a big inconvenience, either.)I give it a strong four stars because:(1) I never need to charge it (it gets its charge from the iPad)(2) A key did come off when hitting other things in my backpack, BUT UNLIKE MY OTHER TWO PORTABLE KEYBOARDS, the key went right back on, and was completely back to normal. (Those other two keyboards were permanently damaged -- one the first day, the other the first week.) In fact, I pried off another key to show my wife, and it snapped back on completely.(3) It is totally portable, and RESISTANT TO DAMAGE.(4) It has all the keys laid out where they should be (and not pushed this way or that happens with other "portable" keyboards' needs to be folded).IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PORTABLE KEYBOARD TO GO WITH YOUR IPAD, THIS IS IT. I'M HAPPIER WITH THIS THAN ALL THE ONES I'VE HAD SO FAR. I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS 4½ STARS!
