These are excellent! My husband works the night shift so we needed these for our master bedroom. We have older windows so we had to put them on differently. My husband built a frame for them to fit inside of but we knew that going in so it was no problem. They work great and look really nice. The assembly was easy and the fit was perfection. The room is dark now and much cooler too. We live in a very hot climate so that was an added benefit. The cool AC air stays in the room instead of escaping through the windows. Very clever design and the customizing was a huge benefit. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I should have spent the $170 sooner, the large bedroom window, roughly 72 x 50 is completely blocked out in my rental apartment with no tools needed! It sounded too good to be true but it's just as advertised, complete black out. It arrived way faster than expected for it being custom made, I went with white frame and black blinds, it came in four pieces that snap together with ease, measurements were a perfect fit. I love the option from being able to open left to right. It's very good quality for the price! I've tried everything before this, from the cheapest options of cardboard in window to black tarp taped up, to more expensive options on Amazon and nothing compares to these due to the custom fit and ease of opening and closing.Please buy them and follow the instructions, you will not regret it!

Overall, I am fairly pleased with this custom sized cellular shade that I received. The frame seems well-built and sturdy, and it is easy to assemble. The shade opens and closes quite smoothly, stays in place wherever you want to leave it (all the way open, all the way closed, and anywhere in between) and I think there are even two screws in the base of the frame that allow for adjustment of that if need be. The dimensions were just slightly off what I ordered (ordered 23-5/8” x 29-3/4”, received 23-19/32” x 29-21/32”), but it ended up fitting my window frame just fine. I used the included adhesive foam strip all the way around the perimeter of the frame, which resulted in a nice and snug fit. For the price I paid for this, I was disappointed that there were a few small scuffs and scratches on the frame and on the back side of the handle, but luckily none of these were visible after installation. Also, the shade is slightly deformed in the bottom two corners, the left side more so than the right side. This doesn’t affect the functionality of the shade but just doesn’t look great. When the shade is fully open, it doesn’t store perfectly level with the top edge of the frame/bezel, which is a little noticeable (again doesn’t affect the functionality of the shade at least). I am curious to see how this shade lasts over time, but as long as it last for a significant amount of time, I will be pleased with this purchase and feel that is a pretty decent value for the price (I wish it were a little cheaper, but it’s not the worst).

Better than I could possibly imagine. Measurements were DEAD ON and it is TRULY completely black out. Will be planning on buying at least one a month until all my windows have one of these on them!

absolutely amazing! comes pre assembled and earlier than expected! fits like a glove, the only thing is you have to get the exact measurements. i measured 10x before i pulled the trigger, i was so afraid i would get it wrong and it wouldn't work.this is essential for night shift workers imho. i have this and a blackout curtain in front of the window so my room is pitch black! there is a tiny tiny tiny sliver of light all round the outside edge of the frame but honestly if you caulk it or somehow seal it that should take care of it but since i have my blackout curtain that isn't a problem.it also reduces the noise levels which i was pleasantly surprised. it doesn't block it out completely but dramatically muffles it. i think it has so do with the honey comb design of the blinds.i purchased a white frame which matches my actual window frames so it blends in seamlessly.my sleep has significantly improved. being able to control the amount of light coming in is a game changer especially for nightshift workers. i am so happy with this, would highly recommend if you work odd hours, is a light sleeper or you need eliminate glare on your tv for movie time! i hope this helps!

Make sure you measure accurately, and consider that most windows sills are not absolutely square. Make sure you get the minimum distance, and subtract an eight an inch.I would say they were extremely accurate in the cuts, and as a result the fit was good. I had to finagle it a little bit, and if it’s too tight it won’t slide right.Despite all that I am happy with the install, the product, how it looks, and the build quality. Overall, very good.
