I'm surprised that this kite has such bad review. I'm buying a third one for my daughter and that's because the other two ended up in a tree. Incredible performance, minion one flyes the best in 10mph winds and higher. I have seen other people ( about 10) with same kite by xkite and always flying high without jerking. Last one that got tangled 4 stories high in a tree I was still able to retrieve the thread with apparently flexible hook that didn't snap broken.

Even with modest expectations, I was disappointed in the quality and fly-ability of this kit. A kit aimed at children should be relatively easy to fly - this on is not. It wants to dodge around unexpectedly, and doesn't properly stay aloft.It's also very low quality. The kite material is paper-thin, the support ribs are tiny, etc. The streamers on the end are too long, and lasted about 10 minutes before some snapped off.My 3 year old was ecstatic when this kite came, but a few tries at flying it killed his enthusiasm. Skip it.

Lousy light air kite. But my squeeze was enormously amused none the less. Some day's I wish I were a minion.

Not an easy kite tend ro do to many crazy loops and tends to fly more to de sides than climb on altitude

Really didn't work for us. Can't imagine what circumstances with high wind it would actually work, but perhaps your results will be better. Bought the supersled instead.

Looks cute; doesn't fly. The shape just isn't made to effectively catch the wind and stay aloft.

Crap! Gets tangled very easily , then good luck untangling it. Basically it's garbage after 1 use save your money.

Cheap and crappy. Doesn't fly. Don't waste your money. if you want a cute minion to tack on your wall this might work.
