hOmeLabs Dehumidifier 3,500 Sq Ft

I purchased the 3,500 square foot dehumidifier for my 1270 square foot house. I live in Southern Louisiana where the humidity in my house stays around 65-75%. I set the dehumidifier for 55%. After about 12 hours the tank fills up with water. I empty it twice a day. Once in the mornings and once at night. This thing is no joke. You will notice the difference in humidity. It took me a week or so to adjust to the dryness, especially when waking up in the mornings. You will get used to it though. My only complaint is how often I have to empty it. It comes with the option of continuously draining the water but unless you have a floor drain, my tub is higher than the hole to drain and the water won’t drain up to the tub.

It's hard to give an honest review after one week. I chose hOmeLabs because a family member has had one for 5 years that still functions. My experience with other dehumidifiers, rated at 3000+ sq ft in a 1500 sq ft basement and were well known brand names, had been horrible. The most use out of these others was 2 years. This new dehumidifier is being used in a1200 square ft apartment. It did not come with a pump. It is reasonably quiet, rolls on wheels, comparatively light weight at 26 lbs, easy to set up and it works. I will eventually set it up to use the gravity drain. Until then I will use the bucket that is easy enough to deal with, but it is small.

This seemed like a very nice humidifier. It was compact, worked well, and not too noisy. However, we were surprised at how small the tank in the 25 pint model was. The first night that we used it in our living room it became full during the night and shut off. Same thing the next day. Perhaps it’s my fault and I should have ordered a model with a bigger capacity. We are returning it and getting something larger. This might be fine for a very small office, small bedroom, or an area that doesn’t have a significant humidity problem. The humidity in our home tends to be in the upper 60s and while this unit did a good job of pulling it down into the low 50s, it just didn’t have a big enough tank. If we kept it, we literally would have to empty the tank two or three times a day. Also, the instruction book was a little confusing and not very clear. It needed some editing as the translation to English was a bit off. I still gave this model four stars because it did seem like it worked well, just too small.

I purchased the 25qt last year after having had a previous model for five years. The older model had a much larger water tank for the same square footage and worked very well untill mold set in. I was dissapointed in the higher prices for a smaller water tank, but purchase the newer model anyway. It worked great untill it didnt. E3 error code, non specific. Fortunately the one year warranty was still valid. I reached out to the company through an email. They responded immediately and requested pictures to be uploaded that included the Bin Number on back of unit, screen shot of amazon purchase order, and picture of unit with error code displayed. Again they responded immediately stating they would replace immediately. Fed x confirmed the delivey date. Excellent customer support!

This dehumidifier does the job. I've bought others and this one hands down does a much better job keeping the humidity down. I have bought 2 of these humidifiers and thinking of buying another one for my garage because it does such a good job.

This thing kicks butt, works great and time will tell if it lasts or not.

I’m impressed with the dehumidifier high-end features at a very good price point. The unit dropped the humidity in my basement 15 % in a short amount of time. I’m very happy with this unit. Being able to control it using a simple smart phone app is convenient and is a money saver. 5+ stars to the customer service. WOW. I sent an email to them with a question and they got back to me right away. This is a great product and a company with a sound business model.

I've only had this thing for a week, but so far it is working great. I shopped around for something that wasn't "smart" because I don't really see the point in being able to connect a dehumidifier to wi-fi, but that proved to be a challenge for anything bigger than a desk dehumidifier. Anyway, apparently this one connects to wi-fi and Google Home, but I didn't bother with that. I have had this thing running to suck up the moisture from a leaking pipe and it has made a HUGE difference already. The area was getting that musty basement smell, but that went away within the first 3 days of use. The casters on the bottom are really handy for rolling it around, but it also has a flip up handle to carry it by. So far I've only used the catch bucket, but it does have an outlet and a hose for continuous drainage. It's such a simple thing you don't think about, but honestly this dehumidifier has already made a huge difference with the comfort of the air. I'm weirdly pleased with this purchase and I wish i would've bought one sooner
