Appears to be good stuff! I’m not sure this is actually 304 stainless steel; stainless steel, even 304, is generally not magnetic. It is however, possible for 304 stainless steel during cold working (e.g., bending) to become magnetizable. In this case, a magnet is very strongly attracted to the carabiner (suggesting potentially a low alloy content, although could be due to reforming). In the included photo, showing the carabiner suspended when attached to a common magnet - the magnet is very strongly attracted to the carabiner, even able to hold his own weight (i.e. raising, questions of the quality of the stainless steel) However! I ran a short term corrosion test - I previously worked in R&D in the oil industry - the highest corrosion rate is not from something continuously submerged in seawater, but rather is an environment where things are exposed to seawater and then air, either through spray or submersion exposure followed by exposure to air, in a repeated fashion I conducted a short term test here where I dipped the carabiner in salt water over a half dozen times allow it to dry, and repeated; the good news was, no visible signs of surface corrosion! Good news indeed! The carabiner will now be entering service on a boat occasionally taken offshore; it will see limited direct exposure (to seawater), but hoping it’ll last over a decade.

I bought these to create self-launch 'kits' to put in each kite bag. These are a little too small however, need to get 4". These clips are sturdy though and do what they say

I got these to use for gym equipment. I got one of those rope attachments for doing tricep work on a cable machine and needing something that would hold heavy weight. This met my expectations, it's exactly waht it looks like, and the 3.15 inch fit ones are great for gym. I'm not sure if they would work well for climbing but that's not what I needed them for. If you want something for gym cable machine attachments, this is a solid bet.

The Carabiner arrived on time and have a nice finish. I returned them as they were to small for My application. I should of bought a larger size with a wider Gate opening.
