Q: Lampe Berger site says 80 hours of fragrance from this bottle. I got about 8 hours of fragrance from it. How about you? Am I doing something wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong, but you can use it more efficiently. First, make sure that you don't pour all the oil into the lampe at once, and also that you cap the burner securely in between burning. Then make sure that you "flame" the burner for only a minute or two, just long enough to get the it good and hot, then blow out the flame and put on the diffuser cap. If you leave the flame burning, you're just burning off the oil instead of diffusing it. Finally, use it for about half an hour at a time, tops, before capping it until next time. These suggestions are to keep the fragrance from evaporating completely. Remember, a little goes a long way with the Lampe Berger. 20 minutes of diffusing will perfume an average sized room, then you can just cap it or move it to another room. Maybe you won't get 80 whole hours, I don't know since I've never timed it, but certainly longer than eight hours.

Q: what is better for smoking odors cigar and cigarette?

Cigar smoker here and is exactly why I got this lamp. It works great. Light it up on your last third or about 15 minutes left on your stick. I cut the lamp half and half with the so neutral oil and your fragrance of choice. Sometimes I go 2/3 neutral as the fragrances can be quite potent.

I had never tried this scent before. It smells ok but I prefer something stronger
