These puck light are great! And the customer service of this company is UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I’ve been building a custom post and beam Adirondack / rustic vacation lake home for nearly two years. When it came time for finishing touches, we decided to light each “bay” of the ceiling rafters/timbers to highlight the architecture. We found GetInLight, and were immediately excited about the excellent product features: swivel head, LED, 2700K to emulate incandescent lights, dimmable, oil rubbed bronze color, etc. in short, everything we were looking for. We purchased 40 pucks and 2 J-Boxes (as the manufacturer advises no more than 20 pucks per junction box). I wanted a pristine installation, which for us was locating both J-Boxes in a basement mechanical room and then running custom-length 30 and 50 foot cords from the J-box to the first puck in the series, followed by custom length linking cords between each puck run in series from the first puck. This was all custom. I contacted the company, and hit the jackpot with their customer service rep, Chris, who was literally excited to help us customize the snot out of our project, offering great suggestions and contacting the manufacturer for us repeatedly to tweak our custom needs as the project unfolded. Many months later, as our construction progressed to the point where we were ready to install these custom beauties, we had a hiccup...the light from one of the two j-boxes flickered when the lights were dimmed. We had installed a Lutron MACL-153M (which is on the manufacturer’s approved dimmer list). I contacted Chris, distressed that this $2500 project was 1/2 great and 1/2 terrible. Chris immediately helped us troubleshoot the issue, offering to make new heavier gauge power cords, advised us to test for voltage leakage, mailed us new j-boxes for free to rule out if those might be the problem, and offered many suggestions for other dimmers that may resolve the issue. After some trial and error over a week or so, we isolated the problem to the Lutron MACL-153M being the culprit. Strange since that model dimmer is on the manufacturers approved list of dimmers. And stranger still because that dimmer is specially made for LEDs. In any event, we tried the Lutron MA-600 (which is the identical dimmer for incandescent/halogen) ...and boom...no flickering/strobing. Go figure!!! Bottom line...these lights are great. But if you’re looking to be the beneficiary of the greatest customer service experience of your life, do yourself a favor and buy from this...wait for it...CHINESE company! This is one company that finally understands what many US customers value FAR beyond a low price...a great quality product backed by best-in-class customer service. An unforgettable experience. Can’t recommend this company enough (and my boy, Chris...who should be a professor at some leading university teaching marketing and customer service)! Thank you, Chris! And thank you GetInLight!!!

Good Design, Solid Construction
I initially bought a set of 3 pucks, as a complete packaged item, just to be sure that they were a quality product and would meet our need for lighting in kitchen, display, and china cabinets. The test was a success and I have since ordered more for the entire lighting setup. I opted to core drill 2-3/8 inch holes in the tops of the cabinets to flush mount the lights as I had the means to hide the wiring in a cavity above the cabinets. I also direct wired the lights to a 120-volt source. It is not necessary to purchase the manufacturer's junction box for direct wiring unless you wish to mount their junction box in an accessible location and take advantage of the box's built-in power switch. If you have another means of switching the power to the light strings, you can just cut off their plug on the furnished power cord and direct wire to your power supply inside a junction or switch box. Just make sure you get the neutral and hot wires matched up correctly for proper electrical polarity. The neutral line has ribs on the side of the power supply cord, the hot has smooth insulation. Neutral goes to the white wire, hot goes to the black wire of your power supply. Good quality manufacturing in the items all around. The puck collars, which I didn't use, are of solid heavy construction, with notches to accommodate surface mounted wiring. The wire terminations are well made and solid as well, with good additional insulation and reinforcing at the connection point to the lights. The pucks fit snug and tight in the 2-3/8 inch holes I drilled into the cabinet plywood. It is worth your time to measure carefully between desired light locations. Each puck comes with two 12-inch wire tails for connecting to adjacent pucks in a series, except the terminal puck which has only one tail, also 12-inches long. I discovered that the lights in a string will not come on unless the terminal puck is connected. If you buy a package of three pucks, you also get two 12-inch long connector wires. This allows you to mount the pucks of a 3-pack nominally 36-inches apart, although that might be stretching things too tight. You probably should consider buying optional longer connector cords if your spacing is greater than 30-inches. Buying optional single pucks allows you to string more than three pucks together in a string. The manufacturer says you can string as many as 20 pucks together. I didn't do more than four, but that worked fine. The 2700K color is nice. The light is fairly bright for lighting a display cabinet, but not too bright for us.

Easy to install and working well
The components appear to be of good quality but that will take some time to prove out. Well packed, good finish quality, and worked will with the dimmer I already had in place. I wish the included extension connectors were a bit longer but I was able to reroute the wiring to make them work.

Great puck lights but read.......
Great lights, but keep in mine that in each set 0f 3, one of them only has 1 connection coming out of it, meaning it can only be used at the end of a string, so if you wanted to run 6 lights you would need 3 sets of 3. Also the screws that come with the set were flat head #6 by 3/8" screws, I bought #6 by 1/2" pan head self tapers, but if I had to do it over again I would get #6 by 5/8 or 3/4" self tapers. Once I got passed these problems they were easy to install and seem great one week out. I hard wired it and installed a dimmer switch Lutron MACL-153M-WH Maestro, unfortunately I didn't know the switch was no good, after trouble shooting I switch it out to another switch in. (the same model as the first) No flickering at the lowest settings. Works great and the color is good. Happy, Happy minus the slight problems. I would buy them again and will rewire 2 of my "ends" so I can use the in a string. If you have a problem or question the company returns email amazingly fast and were helpful.

Great lights. Bought these to replace old under-cabinet halogen lights in the kitchen. Easy to install--I just snipped off the connectors and hardwired them through the 120V line coming through the wall. Added a dimmer (Lutron Maestro LED+ Dimmer MACL-153M-WH-C) and everything works perfectly. No more changing bulbs.
