Reiner Auto Numberer B6-6 Wheel - 5.5mm print

The numberer is of hard plastic and metal construction with numbers entirely made of metal. Having used the product for a few weeks now, I can say that I find it very well made indeed. While I cannot predict the future, the construction and the handling thus far gives me confidence about its durability.

I worried that this model would not be good enough, as it was cheaper than many of the others. But I had a limited use for it, and so ordered. The product itself is very good, but, when setting up, the ink pad fell out of its housing, and was an absolute pain to get back in. I exhausted a lot of the ink, getting it all over my fingers, trying to get the pad back in place. This was a costly excercise as the pads are about (£). If that had not happened, it would have been an excellent buy, but the episode did leave a disappointing note to the purchase

Excellent quality good clear numbers

I am not sure about giving this 2 or 1 star, but I will say: you ought not buy this (I guess 1 star territory?) The problem is that the wheels are metal, and the frame is metal, a stamp must be able to bring the printing face slightly below the base - to make contact with whatever it is imprinting upon - metal has no give, meaning the paper must and paper is not a substance that can be easily compressed. This means you get, not faint as such but incomplete or patchy numbers, as the entire digit doesn't make contact with the paper. Another problem is that this can easy slip, as mentioned before the print-face must come slightly below the base, lack of rubber fails here. With rubber stamps they can warp and ensure the entire face makes contact with the paper, metal doesn't allow that, and it shows. I have awarded it 1 star because to be good at its job it must be better at numbering than doing it by hand, it is not. I did 2300 tests before giving up (it was a boring half hour) so it cannot be said I didn't try, it must also be reliable, which it isn't. However it is well built and reliably "ticks" the mechanism is brilliantly simple, and it doesn't skip a number, and I never had it fail to fully rotate a digit (no half numbers showing) it was just the faint number, patchy print or smudged print (as metal gives little friction any sideways motion when you push down will translate to a smudged print) Last comment would be it's larger than you think, and the number appears only on the far right, so getting the print where you want it to be is difficult, I would have liked a baseplate that only had room for the actual print, so the operator can easily gauge where the print will will be.

I'd had a look at the Reiner website and had noted that most of their stamps were solid metal bodied ones, so I was surprised to find that this stamp has a plastic body and handle. I'd thought I was getting a solid product, but the plastic version feels a little fragile. It would be good if the description on the amazon page contained this specific info, as the model number is also misleading, the B6 is meant to be a metal body, whereas this is a B6K. I had no problems loading the ink pad.

This has proved to be an excellent item which has clear type-face and good sized numbers. I would strongly recommend.

Ich habe einen Paginierstempel gesucht, mit dem ich die von mir eingescannten Dokumente fortlaufend nummerieren und entsprechend ablegen kann. Dieser Stempel ist hierfür gut geeignet. Er macht einen sehr robusten Eindruck. Einziger kleine Nachteil sehe ich darin, dass der Nummernzähler auch dann weiterzählt, wenn der Stempel lediglich in seine Parkposition gebracht wird. Dies hat dann zur Folge, dass beim Stempeln eine Nummer übersprungen wird. Dies kann man beheben, in dem man entweder i) den Zähler mit dem mitgelieferten Werkzeug auf die richtige Nummer einstellt (umständlich, da die Ziffernräder nur "vorwärts" bewegt werden können) oder ii) die Zählschrittweite auf "0" stellt, bevor der Stempel geparkt wird (geht schnell vergessen). Dennoch insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Produkt, das ich sofort wieder kaufen würde.

On peut choisir le nombre de zéros précédents (par exemple de 000, 001, 002 etc. jusqu'à 999), et le nombre de coup de tampon avant de changer de numéro. Le mécanisme est très bien, l'impression nette et la fabrication semble très solide. Le mais vient du fait qu'il est très difficile de positionner les roues correspondant aux 0 que l'on ne veut pas imprimer dans une position qui ne laisse pas une trace résiduelle au moment de l'impression du tampon. Et cela est d'autant plus difficile que le surface n'est pas dure. On y arrive assez bien sur une feuille positionnée sur une table en bois ou en plastique, mais cela est beaucoup plus difficile sur une pile de papier.

Nachdem ich die schlechte Produktrezension gelesen hatte, war ich abgeschreckt. Bisher habe ich noch absolut keine Erfahrung mit Paginierstempeln. Da dieser Stempel als amazon choice markiert war, habe ich ihn dann doch bestellt und finde ihn wirklich super! Das erste Stempelkissen einzulegen ist tatsächlich kompliziert, aber dies liegt hauptsächlich an der schlechten Abbildung in der Anleitung, die sehr unverständlich ist. Wenn man das Prinzip verstanden hat, ist es sehr leicht. Vor dem ersten Gebrauch sollte man auf jeden Fall die Anleitung lesen.
