ASICS Men's DYNABLAST 5 Running Shoes

Exceptional comfort and energetic bounce.ASICS knocked it out of the park with the Dynablast 5. The cushioning is incredibly responsive, providing excellent energy return with every stride while keeping impact low on my joints. The knit upper is breathable and fits comfortably without rubbing. They feel lightweight, fast, and supportive right out of the box.

So I have to compare these to the Novablast 5, which I use as my primary training shoes. I knew these weren't going to be the same, but, for a 100 bucks you get what you pay for. I picked these up for a daily work/walking around shoe and while the cushioning is similar to the Nova, it's about 80%. The toe box is considerably smaller compared to the Nova as well. Update - Second Pair I liked my first pair enough that I bought another color specifically for a walking-heavy trip to Venice Beach. After putting a lot of miles on them over several days, I’m even more impressed with them as an everyday shoe. They’ve been comfortable for long walks, standing around, and generally being on my feet most of the day. They’re not quite as cushioned or roomy as my Novablast 5s, but that’s not really what I bought them for. For the price, they’ve turned out to be an excellent everyday walking and casual shoe. The fact that I bought a second pair probably says it better than anything else.

I got a pair of these months ago and was so happy with less foot pain that my husband bought a pair. For the walking ability, arch support, thickness, durability and weight these are 5 stars. He is not jogging but does miles on concrete at work. Some max padded shoes bog down but the blast foam in these gives them just a bit of rebound energy without rockers and they are stable though labeled neutral. They don't feel too thick or too high and the weight is very light. Slow or fast, just go for it. They are comfortable standing, walking and most probably running. The tongue is not padded but does not slide and the upper is soft without the plastic feel think I hate in summer. So far my feet have not been cold at 40 degrees. I wish they made an ankle boot like these for winter. We will both probably grab a second pair soon.

They seem like they would be very comfortable but they run a bit small on size and are quite narrow, so just heads up if you have a wide foot. Had to return the pair I ordered, though they seemed high quality.

I love this shoe. I've owned 3 pairs and I keep getting this one over and over. It's bouncy but not overly aggressive in the cushion. The pattern weave works well with business casual which is important since I generally have to wear more of a sneaker type of shoe due to a foot injury years back. As a shoe guy, this is one that I will keep with as long as asics keeps up the good work. Sizing is on point, these wear very well and thus far have proven quite durable.
