These are a good quality set. Some may want a more 'mirror' polish, so that would be a different set. Importantly, these are stainless steel, solid, not hollow, in perfect condition. The case is passable for holding the items. What I really like about the set is that each sound has a gentle taper at the ends for easier insertion. For me these are used for insertion into the penile urethra. The taper makes it easier for sizing up and stretching. The sounds have a stamped FR sizing on each item in the middle - the stamp could be a little better. For the price and the sizing here, these are good for male urethral play and stretching. Be sure to check the sizes since these 8 sounds have every other size (FR 27/29, 31/33 etc), with a range from FR 13 to 43 (the desription in some places is inaccurate on the number and range). If you need in between sizes or perhaps them in graduated millimeters, you may want want a different set. Overall, no issues. Cheers!

I'll confess straight away that these were my first direct experience with sounds. That said, I'm no stranger to sex toys and devices, both as user and nerd. Having its dangers, I wanted to know a lot more about care and safety before embarking on this new adventure. Weight: the weight of these stainless steel rods is a bit of a turn on by itself. I like that it feels very similar to holding hematite, which happens to be comforting to me. Smoothness: by and large these sounds are super smooth. My only complaints on the subject are that some of the diameter number impressions are rough—irritating to painful to my meatus. Also, each sound is really half one diameter and the other half 2 french thicker, and the transitions are inconsistent. For some sound the transition is tapered better, but sometimes they transition is more abrupt, making intentional dilation touchy and more risky. These poorly-transitioned sounds can't easily penetrate to greater than half the length of the sound when you're near your current urethral limits. End tapers: The taper rate at each end of a sound is not the same, meaning the narrower diameter end will taper to full width at a shallower angle than the fatter side. I haven't the means to measure precisely, but I presume that the tapers are the same length, which is why the fatter ends seem to ramp up faster. As a result I've been able to insert the narrower end of the next size rod before easily inserting the thicker end of the current rod I've been using. Cleaning: hey, it's stainless steel, the easiest thing to clean there is: alcohol, benzalkonium chloride solutions, boiling, dishwasher, soap, tea tree oil—all good, just make sure irritants are fully rinsed off before use, especially glycerin and anything that could feed bacteria or yeast.

It is poorly made, there are dents / catches that makes it unsafe to use.

I don't normally give 5-star reviews, but the quality and price of these are top notch, and I have no complaints. They actually sent me an 8-piece set (I ordered the 6-piece set) but my review would likely be the same if I'd received the 6-piece. They are heavy with a mirror-like shine and smoothness. No irritation, just pure pleasure! I heard they have a legitimate medical purpose, but they're toys to me! lol. Great product.

Very impressed with these. Very good quality & finish. The storage case is a nice useful touch. The weight helps them sink right in to that comfortable spot! I gave them 4 stars because the size which is in Fr. instead of millimeters is a bit rough because of being stamped in the middle instead of being laser engraved. Use lots of lube & enjoy!

I was extremely nervous to order these in the first place but once I had them I realized that they have the best quality that you could probably find for something this price. I was impressed with the case. it has a plastic flap that prevents them from banging against each other while the pouch is closed. I would highly recommend these to someone just beginning. The only problem that I have is that there are some slight blemishes on two of the rods, right where they transition. not detrimental to the use of these awesome things though!
