The product is great, but it lags in 4k which is annoying when recording content in that resolution

Terrible! So frustrating! The video lag is so bad, at least a minute, so it’s pretty useless. The mount also doesn’t stay level so I will have to edit all shots to make them level in post, adding more time and hassle. Also, you have to connect to the devices ‘WiFi’ during mirroring, meaning you have to disconnect from your home WiFi and render your phone almost useless when you aren’t in a city. To be honest, I’d like my £70 back SMALLRIG!

Great product works well but packaging is a nightmare. You literally have to tear the box apart to get the products out making it difficult to return if you don’t like it.

This is a useful addition if, like me, you are on your own or like to shoot videos from awkward positions where it’s not easy to see the phone screen. This at least gives you an idea of where to frame the shot. I say “an idea” because, unfortunately, the screen is not the same aspect ratio as the phone and therefore cuts off a significant portion either side of the image - you only see the central part. Thus if you are trying to position something on the far left or right of the frame you won’t see it.I’ve had it a few days and I’m still debating whether it’s good enough to keep.

Not the best, it’s very laggy and uses a direct WiFi connection so your phone can’t connect to other WiFi while connected. The brightness buttons actually flip the screen upside down on a long press as well as controlling the brightness which isn’t mentioned in the manual. It’s good for framing when using the rear camera but the lag and the unpredictability of the buttons make it more frustrating than useful.

This little monitor is the coolest thing ever. I would 100% recommend it; there is nothing else like it on the market. It is super easy to set up and works immediately out of the box.

Funciona bien, pero al menos en mi caso con unos DJI Mic Mini y un iPhone 17 Pro Max, al grabar con ellos mientras duplico pantalla en esta pantalla, genera delay constantemente y esto es algo que no se puede corregir en edición, pues genera desfasamientos a lo largo de toda la grabación, lo que hace imposible sincronizar el audio y video en post producción.Si no grabas audio con tu teléfono y solo lo usas como referencia para hacer tomas, todo bien, pero para grabar vlogs o videos con el mismo teléfono, no vas a tener una buena experiencia. Toca devolverlo.

A handy product at an unbelievable value!I chose the "vlog" kit specifically to get the phone mount. And to be honest, I'd almost pay this price for the camera mount alone!Easy to use, Intuitive controls. Build quality (both the monitor AND the mount) is great!Image quality is decent, more than adequate for its purpose. It is "visible" in direct sunlight. But as it is a glossy screen, there is a great deal of reflection. So if outdoor use is big thing for you, i would consider getting some kind of anti-glare overlay or finding/making some sort of sunshade for it.Connection and setup is super-simple. You don't have to download any additional apps or anything. The monitor has its own WIFI signal that you connect to, then simply screen mirror. It boots to an on-screen QR code that you can scan to auto-switch your phone to the monitor's WIFI. But to be honest, I find it faster and easier to just choose it on my phone manually, as I don't have to be there at the monitor to do it.I didn't really care about the little key fob remote thingy. But that has proven SUPER-HANDY to trigger recording without having to walk back and forth to the camera. It paired up quickly and easily following the included printed instructions (not that you really need them - it's just like anything else. just turn it on and choose it from your bluetooth list) it is however, a little plasticy and cheap-feeling, so i'm not sure how it will hold up over time. But it works great currently, without any noticeable lag or hesitation.It advertises a 3-hour battery life. I can neither confirm not deny that, as i've only used it for about an hour at a time. But I have no reason to suspect it not living up at least within reason to its claims.One little odd thing, there is a tiny bit (like 2mm) of overscan (monitor image is cropped) when your device is turned to portrait mode. But it's minor, and considering this is just a framing monitor, it's hardly worth mentioning, and of course, it won't have any effect on the recorded image.Overall, I consider this a super product at an amazing value.
