Camera Hot Shoe Cover for Fujifilm X Half X100VI XS20 XH2 X-T30 III-Black

This hot shoe cover is unique in the way it covers the entire hot shoe area, not just the slot leaving the joint exposed so any rain that might hit the area can seep into the shoe itself. The design is such that it literally snaps in place and forms what appears to be an integral part of the body yet is easily removed to access the shoe when needed. The color nicely matches the basic Canon body color. Only problem I can see is ensuring to not lose the cover since they are a bit pricier than the standard ‘tab’ style covers and could be easily lost. The cover seems to be well made of a quality plastic. Time will tell how well they keep and perform but for now I am very satisfied either way it. I purchased 3 of these as they fit all my cameras with the new multi-function hot shoe; R6ii, R7 and R10.

Exactly what I expected. Perfect fit for my Sony A1.

The protector looks nice and clean, and slides in well. But it doesn't have any sort of positive engagement (such as a subtle click) when you slide it in. I am worried that overtime it will easily slide off byitself and fall off when taking in and out of my bag (I use a liner within a fanny pack, so it often brushes against the edges of the bag and liner).

Hot shoe covers (of all types) are a dime a thousand, and you can get them anywhere, with some outlets selling bags of the plastic versions of 25 or more for a pittance. Of course, they all wind up being the same - that is, often being made of a cheap plastic, that just slide into your hot shoe area to keep the connection points safe. But what about the top metal areas of the hot shoe? Those often get overlooked and as your camera ages the once silver areas of the top begin to tarnish, showing an age much older than the camera itself. And it doesn't matter if your camera is in great condition when you go to sell it someday, if the hot shoe area looks old, tarnished, or beat up, then any claims of "Mint" or "Excellent" condition won't be taken seriously. Well, I've used thousands of them in my 55 years of being a photographer. But this ER-SC3 Hoe Shoe Cover cap is, without a doubt, the most functional one I've used. It covers everything. Under the top cover umbrella portion lies the part that slides into your hot shoe, and the umbrella part covers the top areas of the hot shoe. It looks great and gives the impression that it was originally part of your camera. It's a cinch to slide on also. I originally ordered 2 of them and will be ordering more - they are well worth the asking price. Yes, they look different, provide completion protection, and are of a design that should have been adopted a long time ago. I'm going to order a dozen more (since that's how many cameras I'm maintaining)... Highly recommended...

Came and it was as expected. It fitted neatly on the hot shoe covering the shoe completely. At first I was happy with it but twice now I have knocked against myself when walking and the shoe sticks up just a little and the shoe became dislodged and fell on the floor. Luckily I felt it and was able to pick it up. I have reverted back to the original which fits inside the hot shoe and I am keeping this for rainy days only.

The product is just a simple piece of plastic ($7.00!) that has to cover the camera's hot shoe. For some reason it generally isn't included by the various companies when purchasing their cameras, in this case Sony, but it does its' one & only job so, five stars. When/if purchasing another it would be the one with the level bubble. R.D.
