Beauty is Pain
I wont lie to you, this sucker hurts, especially on areas of more sensitive skin. However, it works like a charm and I am OBSESSED with it. Listen, I'm a girl who suffers from PCOS and excessive body hair. I am also a professional cosmetologist and I have access to various high quality and professional hair removal methods. Hear me out: I hate shaving because it causes ingrown hairs and makes my facial hair grow back darker and thicker and much more obvious. I have used DOZENS of different shaving methods an still have this issue. Having someone else wax my face is expensive, especially for someone like me who genuinely needs it on a 10-14 day cycle. I can, and do wax myself at home, but hard wax or soft wax, it is very time consuming, messy, and expensive to buy the products needed as frequently as I need to use them. I am not over exaggerating; I grow a TON of hair ridiculously fast. Of course, tweezing each individual hair is even more time consuming and I have reached a point in my life in which trying to keep up with my own hair growth just to feel female is completely overwhelming. I decided to give this epilator a try and I am HOOKED. It is such an easy, simple, mess-free and speedy way to remove my facial and body hair without killing my bank account! It pulls the hairs right out like a wax, providing a longer-lasting hairlessness than shaving. It's like a ton of electric tweezers all moving together to grab multiple hairs at once. It even cleans the peach fuzz! I can't lie, it's not painless. I always hate waxing my upper lip because it hurts like the dickens and this was much worse in terms of pain, especially because you can feel it snagging each individual hair instead of one quick rip like wax. I am so desperate for the hair to be gone in a more manageable way though, and it is so 100% worth it for me to endure a few minutes of discomfort so that I can enjoy multiple days of smoothness. This might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially with so many more modern forms of hair removal today, but I seriously couldn't be happier with the results. No woman should have a beard like man, haha!

Best form of hair removal I’ve tried!! 🙌
I want to preface this by saying that I am a hairier than average female due to PCOS issues. My body hair can be thick and dark and grows very quickly. I’ve been shaving since I was 9 years old and always got razor burn and irritation and the shave never lasted long. I did so much research on hair removal and as I grew older I tried different methods but faced the same issues. Granted I’ve never tried laser because it’s out of my budget. I tried waxing which wasn’t terrible in terms of pain and while it did last me almost 2 weeks, when there was hair I missed that I’d just pluck or shave, it grew back unevenly and shaving over skin that’s barely growing back after waxing was painful and caused more ingrowns. I disliked having the extra expense of purchasing wax beads constantly. Not to mention the MESS that comes with waxing at home when you’re not a professional! Sugaring was probably the best hair removal method I tried because it truly thinned out the hair that came back and took some time, it was sparse and I felt my skin looked great but making the wax out of sugar, Lemon and water everytime from scratch took so much trial and error to get the perfect consistency for my skin needs. Purchasing the ready made sugaring stuff was always a hit or miss. I’m also someone who runs warm so as I’d sugar the hair, the sugar would start to melt into my skin and became unusable regardless of my sitting right in front of the AC! I will admit with any hair removal method I always had terrible irritation so when it grew back I would get painful Ingrown hair despite having skin care and exfoliation routines to combat that so I finally just gave up on hair removal all together and would only shave the hair when necessary like when I’d wear dresses or skirts and especially during the hot months when it’s not really an option to wear pants. For a few years I let most of my body hair run wild and let it be but as I started to enter the dating world of course I wanted to be smooth and wear my more feminine clothes. Overall I wanted to feel more aesthetically feminine so I got back into shaving but the irritation was horrible as expected and I gave up again until I found this! This is my first epilator ever. I read about how painful epilating was and always decided against purchasing one but I’m glad I gave this a chance! Sure it does feel more painful than any hair removal method I’ve personally tried but the lack of ingrowns, skin irritation and burns I have afterwards make this so worth it. This was terrific in terms of price and works fine. I do have to go over skin a few times to make sure I get everything and yes as far as irritation goes I get the little raised bumps for a short time it goes away within hours, but I’ll take that to ingrowns and razor burns and itchiness! My skin feels genuinely smooth and I don’t have the same strawberry legs and pores that shaving gives me! The more you do it the more you get used to the pain. My recommendation is to epilate at least a day before you want to bare the skin. My only complaint is the power cord comes off quite easily. For folks who have overstimulation issues, this is quite loud. Personally, I use headphones and watch something to take my mind off the pain and noise. Overall, I have nothing but admiration and respect for people who epilate because it can be a doozy! Cheers to smoother skin and a raised pain tolerance. 🍸

Beauty is Pain, and This Thing is a Loud, Painful Miracle
Let’s be real: turning this Philips epilator on for the first time is terrifying. It sounds like a miniature torture machine, and the actual process hurts like absolute hell. But if you can survive the initial shock, the results are kind of miraculous. I am naturally blessed with thick hair that usually grows back at warp speed, but after using this, I can actually go a full two weeks without looking like a werewolf. Even better, the hair is definitely growing back much thinner and sparser. It’s also incredibly lightweight and compact, making it super easy to carry anywhere. I honestly prefer this over waxing any day. With wax, I can never summon the courage to actually rip the strip off myself. With this, I just turn it on, pass it over my skin while punching a pillow, and take frequent short breaks to question my life choices. The biggest pro is that you only buy it once and that’s it. It’s way better for your bank account than waxing, where you have to constantly repurchase supplies and make multiple passes over the same area. My advice? Just put on some loud music or a series, and run this thing fast. My only real gripes—and the reasons I’m knocking a star off—are the lack of a storage case and the color. For the price you pay and for something with multiple attachments, having them just rolling around loose in my drawer is annoying. I also really wish they offered it in other colors; I’m not a fan of the pink. If you have the pain tolerance of a medieval knight, buy it. Your legs will thank you, even if you have to scream into a pillow along the way.

Effective
This arrived today, and I used it immediately. Some background- I've been getting waxed (legs and Brazilian)at EWC for a little over a year. I did the suggested routine of how often to get waxed, and I was still getting long hair regrowth within a week. Then, it was suggested to wax more often or wait longer, so I tried both several times. The results still didn't last any longer than shaving, which defeated the purpose. The last few times, I asked to see the wax strip and I didn't see hair follicles on most of the hair which led me to believe my hair was breaking off instead of pulling out. I'm a blonde, so I think my hair was not thick enough to pull out. I was also getting a lot of ingrown hairs with waxing. Ordering a epilator was my last ditch effort before going back to shaving. While using this, I noticed the hair was coming out with the follicle! Also, I was just waxed 10 days ago. This pulled out the long hair, and it really did grab the hair that would be too short for wax. As far as the pain, this didn't hurt more than wax. If you've never been waxed, then the pain will startle you at first but you quickly get used to it. My skin didn't get more irritated than it does with wax. The device it loud, but not any louder than hair buzzers. I used the same motion as shaving. It's also way cheaper than waxing! I'm thinking this is probably going to be my new routine. I will update if my opinion changes.

Amazing epilator!
I have used epilators for leg hair removal for over 20 years. This Philips model is hands down the best epilator I have ever used. It is so much faster than any I have previously owned. It really take about half the time to do both legs that it was taking with other brands. It is not painful at all to use but I have been using epilators for a long time & that could be one reason. I would recommend this epilator for anyone looking for a fast & effective way to remove hair.

Love this Epilator
I couldn’t be happier with this purchase, I was always struggling to shave and this epilator really does its job. It does hurt a little bit but later you adapt to it. I like that it is electric and easy to use, I really recommend it.

Mid tier but great while it lasted
I waxed for over 11 years and recently decided to try epilating instead. I bought this in Jan and started using it mid Feb. I used it every two weeks and it worked great the first couple of times. It did miss some the first time but I assumed that was becuase they are short due to waxing. Now it barely pulls the thin hairs even if I go over them multiple times. It constantly leaves bumps on my legs and it misses so many hairs. I clean it regularly. I have checked the blade area. It just doesn’t pull correctly anymore. I’m pretty disappointed. I wanted to really like this.

No case, but works great
Yes, it's quite painful. This will vary based on your pain tolerance, of course, but it's certainly not painless. But it's the smoothest skin you'll ever feel. NO razor burn. NO wax welps. NO skin irritation. NO prickles as soon as you get goose bumps. NO blade nicks or cuts! Goes easily over both sides of the knees without skin damage!! I really wanted this for my inner thighs and bikini area. I can't shave there because of the itching, burning, and irritation I have gotten from trying. The epilator was the answer! I generally get red dots on my skin for 24ish hours after use. But they go away. They don't hurt. They aren't irritated. They are just red dots from the hairs being pulled out. I've used it on my entire legs, my bikini line, my arm pit, and my face. My only complaint is that sometimes it doesn't seem to grab the hair. Especially on my face. Like... I can feel it with my fingers, but the epilator can't pull it out. I don't know if it's too fine, or too short, but that part is pretty annoying. So I do tend to go back over my face with tweezers occasionally, to get those rogue hairs. I notice this on my shins too, but I suspect the hairs just aren't long enough yet. I figure, like waxing, you gotta let them grow out a little. It just annoying, for sure. I'm also annoyed, and frankly surprised, there is no case. There's an aftermarket available you can buy separately, but, just buying this, you have to keep it in the box... which breaks down over time. Even buzzers come with a case... what's up, Phillips?!?!

Buen producto

No recomiendo si eres sensible.
