This book has been extremely useful so far
I've recently started a job and I now have to use SAS at work. I had taken a class at university on SAS, but it had been over a year ago. This book has been extremely useful so far. I have to take one point off because it doesn't cover a lot of material, so I still have to search online all the time (but there is a ton of online SAS resources).I love that this book is written in a straight forward way with examples. I will definitely buy more SAS books from Ron Cody in the future.

As always, he writes great SAS books.
Many of the SAS tasks he writes on could be found on the internet, but if you like having textbooks on the language in front of you, this is one I would highly recommend. Many of the tasks saved me a lot of time if I had to figure them out myself. Great reference for things you have also done in the past.

Good book--just not on Kindle for PC
The book is very useful. Don't get it on Kindle for PC, though. I wound up returning it (I will likely buy it in paperback form) because I could not read the tables/graphs--it is not very useful when you can't read the material--and can't zoom in the app...

Excellent source
Cody's books are always quite helpful and this one is no exception. It is full of VERY useful examples which I employ regularly in my SAS programs. Very good book!

After you've done the beginning books, move on to this, then on to macros.
