Great A2L-Compliant Vacuum Pump
I needed an A2L-compliant vacuum pump without spending too much, and this 5CFM pump works perfectly for the job. It’s great value for the money, especially since it’s way quieter than my old pump. The weight isn’t too heavy either, which is nice. It comes with two ports, but I only needed the 1/4” port to hook up my gauges. So far, it’s been doing exactly what I need it to do, without any issues.

Good pump but weird vacuum tree.
Good vacuum pump overall but the 1/4 inch port is the only port that is standard. The other port is a R134a tap can port and not very useful. I removed the vacuum tree and inserted a standard size 1/2in flare fitting and will be using a 1/2 to 1/4 in NAVAC big boy vacuum hose.Update 7/14/2025OMT Support reached out to discuss my issues and they were resolved regarding the vacuum pump. I just hope they update their manual as the 3/8 inch fitting is ACME threads and not SAE.

Very disappointed.
Worked great for 2 automobile A/C system evacuations. (Duty cycle of 1.5 hours was not exceeded). My first impression was "I've got a real gem". On the third attempt, performance rapidly began to deteriorate. Changed oil using type (TSI Supercool 33713 46-Viscocity Synthetic Vacuum Pump Oil) and volume per User's Manual. No improvement. Borrowed a friends Robinair 15600 Vacuum Pump and had excellent results, so all peripheral equipment is functioning with no faults. The only conclusion I can draw is that the pump has failed and the allowed return date for Amazon is past. Will not disassemble for possible repair due to possible warranty violation. The OMT VB240 (US) is no longer on their home site. No bueno.

I haven't had a project to use this but visually it looks well built. I got this to work on automotive ac systems. I most likely will use this for.some.vaccum forming of plastic in the future.I'll have to update this later once I get some use from it. Until then I'll base this review off of previous tools I've ordered from this company .
