Recommended alcohol strength = 55%+. Strong alcohol is necessary for the herbal oils to fully dissolve. 20 ml Absinthe White essence makes a 750 ml (UK 26.4 fl.oz) bottle of Absinthe. Mix with 60-70% (120-140 proof) vodka or Everclear. You can use 40-50% vodka (80-100 proof), but stronger is preferred. Thujone content in a 750 ml bottle will be 35 mg.Store Absinthe at room temperature, do not refrigerate. 20 ml makes 75 cl (26.4 UK fl.oz) of liquor.
