Stains and Odors Build Up Over Time
The short review: I've been using Dropps laundry detergent for 8 months and have found that over time my clothes don't smell clean and some stains just don't come out as well. Will buy something else when I use up what I have. The long review: When I decided to switch from the liquid detergent I'd been happily using for decades due to environmental concerns, I chose Dropps based on the excellent reviews on various websites. For reference, we are a household of 2 retirees who rarely get clothes actually dirty, but we live in Florida so sweat is an almost daily fact of life. I used 1 pod of Dropps for regular loads, and only used 2 for extra large or extra dirty loads. Recently, after using Dropps for about 8 months, I noticed several of my t-shirts have an odor around the collar (where I sweat the most). Then I noticed my sheets weren't as clean, with sweat stains remaining where I sleep. I also had to wash my grandson's shirt after he spilled a strawberry drink on it and it took 2 washings to get it clean even though I used 2 pods - when I know the liquid detergent used to get it out on the first wash. It's possible using 2 pods with every wash would fix my odor and stain issues, but that makes this product too expensive and I'm still not confident it would help. When I use up my current supply I will try something else. I just think Dropps doesn't do quite a good enough job of cleaning and over time it becomes more apparent.

Good detergent, hate the new packaging
I have used Dropps for both laundry and dishes for several years. I have been happy with the product's performance. I also loved the eco-friendly packaging which was actual sturdy cardboard boxes that could be reused for a variety of purposes, and eventually recycled. The new boxes are flimsy paperboard, and not even rectangular. You can't stack anything on top of them, they don't fit well, they are printed in glossy multicolored inks and heaven knows why you would even WANT to reuse them. The old boxes could be shipped without additional packaging. The new ones don't even hold up well inside a secondary shipping box. What was the point of changing a good package?

Great concept and packaging but not for sensitive skin
I really wanted to like these but unfortunately had to stop using them because it was making my skin crawl. I spent a lot of time trying to find the best laundry detergent that had clean ingredients and did not come in plastic packaging and decided on these. I used them for about a week or so before I realized that it was making my skin itch like mad. It really baffles me because it is a clean product that does not have harsh chemicals like main stream detergents but this is the only new product that I recently began using so I immediately stopped using them and found the itching improved. So unfortunately I did not find needs to be great for those of us with sensitive skin. It may be different for some. But it was not worth continuing to try for me. The other drawback is that like the other reviews stated I did not find any scent left over from these after washing loads. Great concept, just not practical for me. If you have a history of eczema, dermatitis or anything like that I wouldnโt recommend these.

Better for my Septic, Doesn't Leave Residue in Linens
My toddler's skin is sensitive and reacts easily. I wanted a strong detergent that was gentler on her skin. I switched to Dropps after reading reviews that said it does not leave the gel shell in your clothing after washing with cold water and is great for sensitive skin. I've now finished two boxes of this in unscented and lavender eucalyptus. It works well as a laundry detergent, always fully dissolves, and doesn't bother sensitive skin. You would still need something stronger for tough stains. But even Tide can't take out some toddler stains. The lavender eucalyptus scent is not very strong and I don't notice it on clothing when worn.

Yes thank you
Bought these for my elderly father who has become incontinent of bowel/bladder related to dementia. And doesn't like to shower and wears his clothes two days or more. This product cuts though the grease and odor and leaves it nice and fresh. I would have to wash his clothes two or three times with other products. Now I don't! No skin irritation, box fits just right in laundry room. Will continue to use.
