MISSION Multi-Use Neck Gaiter Face Mask for Ski & Outdoors, UPF 50, Breathable Lightweight Fabric

These multi-use neck gaiters from Mission are awesome. There are several ways you can wear it on your head, you can wear it on your neck (duh), you can wear it on your wrist, you can toss it in a backpack or a pocket. When wet, they keep you cooler than if you didn't have one. Keep it around your neck and it will cool the blood going through your jugular veins. This doesn't last forever but all you need to do is turn it a little to get a little bit more coolness out of it. I live in a hot and humid place in the mid-Atlantic and not only does this keep you cool, it affords you some shade. You got bugs? Well this neck gaiter worn as a mask keeps them at Bay. Typically after a run, I walk and usually it's in the shady area. This is where insects love to stay because it's out of the Sun and we are low hanging fruit. LOL. When I wear it on my wrist, I use it to wipe sweat, to wipe my nose, or just to feel something cool where there is nothing around. Finally I have used this to stop bleeding after I failed Superman impersonation (skint knee krew, where you at?!) It's great to clean wounds, as an improvised bandage, or just refreshing on an owee. Enclosed you will find a couple of action shots of how I use this thing. I have a white one, a tan one, and two blue ones. I wanted to put one on my dog but she's a little puppy, so as is it just slides down her body but doubled up to make it half the size, I can't get it around her noggin. In the old days they carried a bandana, and I still do on ultra runs, but if you just need something to trot around or to work outside, this synthetic material will be more beneficial than a cotton bandana (which is still a great thing to have). Anything over 5 miles and I have it on my body. A negative? It doesn't come in green.

I have had one of these before in the past and as others have said this is on the larger side, but that’s only because it’s designed to go up over your head while still around your face or neck. I had a different one by the same company that was half the size of this one and I liked, but I like this one little better because you can actually put it up over your head while you’re wearing it around your neck or you can put it up on your face so it gives you more versatility. I like the fact that it’s lightweight and has a nice color provides good dust protection and it also has upf 50 as you can see from my photos it takes up the full length of my lower leg from my ankle up to Just passed my knee for reference I am 5‘3“ tall it stays cool for about 2 hours & has saved me from heat stroke

This is a great product. I own several in different colors that I wear playing golf. Really helps to cool my neck. It is light and soft and washes well. The reason for my four starts is the color of this particular item. I ordered this color because it looks light in the picture but really there is barely a difference between this charcoal color and the dark charcoal color gaiter....and I mean barely a difference. Side by side it is hard to tell which color is which. Wish this one was lighter.

My fiance and I absolutely HATE the heat, but, living in CA, you don't have much choice if you want to do things outdoors. I bought 2 of these when we were going through a major heat wave recently. I like that you can put it over your head and it sits like a scarf and you don't have to fiddle around with it to make sure it stays on. I've found that to be the only way to wear that is actually functional for me. The other ways either aren't as effective or are way too restrictive (and ridiculous!) for casual outdoor yardwork. My fiance didn't want to wear his at first. So one hot day, after a long session of playing with my dog, i put this around my dog's neck. He doesn't like water: he doesn't like being wet, stepping in water, being sprayed, etc, and runs away whenever i grab the hose to water the yard, whenever i turn on the water in the shower, or whenever i turn on the sprinklers (even though they're nowhere near him)... weirdo. But, to my surprise, he was absolutely okay with having this drenched towel around his neck! And, instead of panting loudly for 20 minutes after playing, he only panted heavily for 5 minutes after i put the cooling towel around him! I was really happy that he doesn't refuse it and that it helps him, because dogs overheating is a legitimate concern (many k-9 units have been lost due to heat exhaustion.... really sad. look it up). And my dog has a tendency to not care about anything else when it's play time, not even his own health!!! (one scary example: we were playing in the front yard, and he came back limping, i was wondering what happened and tried to look at his leg. He backed away and just wanted me to throw the ball again. so i did. when he came back the second time, i realized a ton of blood on his foot... I was like OMG WHAT HAPPENED!!!? Turns out, he had nearly ripped off one of his rear dew claws somehow on the previous throw/return. To this day, I still don't know how it happened, there's nothing sharp in my grass! This claw was just barrrrrely hanging on. So here he is, limping, and blood everywhere; he doesn't care, HE WANTS TO PLAY!! Looking back at this, it's funny as hell, but at the time, I was freaking out. I immediately put pressure on it and we wrapped it and called the vet. He eventually had surgery to remove his rear dew claws. He's just fine now :) and still doesn't care about his own health. dogs are silly) Either way, This is awesome for my dog. plus it looks suuuper cute on him, looks like a handkerchief but keeps him cool. It was an unintended purpose for this purchase, but it turned out to be a really good thing for my pup, who goes 100% on every single throw, no matter if he's limping, overheated, bloody, missing a toe.... etc. It's my way of looking after his health since HE doesn't. OH, another use i forgot to mention: I had actually bought this as a gift for my dad who does go-karting. I remember he had mentioned about being so hot when he's karting (cuz you got all that gear on, helmet, full body suit plus neck padding and rib cage protectors, and you're in direct sun and heat, and you're on black asphalt.... yeahhh) So anyways, i was like omg, this would be perfect for my dad, cuz he can wear it under all of his gear and under his helmet! He reported back to me and said he loves it and makes it soooo much more bearable in that heat. So, there's another use for it. I got him the black one so that it blends in with his gear.

I love this! Mission brand has always been the best! It’s comfortable, protects my skin from the elements, cool when I need it to be, I can wet it. And helps keep my face warm if it’s cold outside. I would highly recommend if you use side-by-side, snowmobiles, etc. keeps the dust out!

I purchased the MISSION Cooling UPF Multi-Use Neck Gaiter for my 7-year-old son who plays Little League, hoping it would help keep him cool during hot game days. While the material and cooling performance felt excellent, it turned out to be too large for a child’s head and neck, even with folding or adjusting. The product is clearly designed for adults, and though it may be a great option for runners, outdoor workers, or athletes, it’s not well-suited for younger kids. We ended up returning it, but I’d still recommend it for teens or adults looking for a reliable, multi-use cooling gaiter with solid UPF protection and moisture-activated tech. Just not the right fit for little ones.

Heard about this brand on a motorcycle forum. Purchased on their recommendation and couldn't be happier. Works very well in the Texas 100 degree heat. When I make gas stops, I re-soak and it makes the ride much more comfortable. Highly recommend!!!

These Mission cooling neck gaiters really work. Been using them for years.

Cache cou d'une bonne longueur. Tissus agréable à porter. Refroidit lors de canicule. Peut servir de masque facial ou sécuriser un masque de procédure (masque médical) lors d'intervention. Reste beau malgré de nombreux lavage.

My Gaiter came in good time. I love it. At first it was a bit tight around the the neck. After a couple washes it seems to loosen up a bit. The gaiter is well made with a thin material making it easier to breath through. It stays up perfectly but I find after a few you have to adjust it. The gaiter can be folded up and a Kleenex or coffee can be inserted for extra protection against Covid-19. I held the gaiter under the cold water tap and snapped it 3 or 4 times and put it around my neck. The cooling part works really, really well. I’m impressed. I bought another one a couple days later.
