Q: Can it be used on induction top?

NO NO NO NO, this product is NOT INDUCTION COOKWARE! and if you return it, after you discover it does NOT work IN YOUR INDUCTION KITCHEN, they will take 30% off the price you paid for your refund. Not knowing, or listening to the other users who say "sure it works", when clearly they do not have induction work tops (they NEVER say they have the cook tops and have tried it themselves!) is no excuse for returning it for a full refund. I purchased from this site, and this product, found it did not work on any of my induction "burners", and received a whopping $22 refund back. It is a beautiful pan though!

To BC & VP: The only stainless skillet I recently bought was the Cuisinart 722-36H Chef's Classic.. The whole trick to preventing food from sticking is not to have the pan too hot. Also - have a bottle of Bar Keepers Friend on hand for thorough cleaning. Really works. The pan will look like new. Good luck.

Q: Is stainless steel the safest material to cook in? What if the bottom is scratched with a knife?

I love my stainless steel pan. With the flat bottom of the pan your food cooks evenly and it has been the best one I've owned. Yes, they can have some scratches but that hasn't made any difference in the cooking of foods.

Q: what's the difference between a "skillet" and a "fry pan"?

A skillet is a pan with slanted sides. A fry pan is another name for a skillet. A sauce pan has straight sides.

Perfect small frying pan - Ideal for eggs.

A wonderful little frying pan. All stainless steel with an aluminium sandwich in the base makes for good heat transfer. If you cook on gas, as I do, keep the flames small and within the "double" base area.I guess you can tell from my spelling of "aluminium" that I am in the UK and could not find a similar product over here which is why I was so pleased to see this on Amazon.com (US) Delivery was very quick about 5 days.People have said than plain stainless steel isn't non-stick! It is if you condition the pan by heating a small quantity of oil until smoking just starts, allow to cool slowly and then discard the oil. Finally get the oil to the right temperature before breaking eggs into the pan and they will not stick. Much safer and longer lasting than coated pans where the coating peels off or becomes toxic if overheated.

Absolutely nothing to dislike. Beautifully made and at a very fair price. Read and follow the user information which is to be found on the cardboard sleeve surrounding the pan and then enjoy the benefits of such a fine addition to your kitchen.

Great little skillet. Wanted one that I could put in a hot oven. This is perfect if a little difficult to clean.

Heard great things, clearly didn’t get a good one of the batch…

Followed the instructions on using the pan and worked great the first couple of times I used it, however it just warped and doesn’t work as it should with hot spots and this was suppose to be a replacement for my current stainless steel pan and just isn’t great.
