I’ve been using the DeWalt 20V MAX XR 2 and it’s honestly one of those tools that just feels like it’s built to work hard without any drama. What stands out right away is the power. It doesn’t hesitate when you put it to work, whether it’s drilling, driving, or handling tougher materials. It feels consistent and strong, not like it’s struggling or fading halfway through a job. The XR battery system is a big plus too. It holds charge well and gives you that confidence to keep moving without constantly swapping batteries. The balance of the tool also feels solid in your hand, not too heavy, not awkward, just controlled and comfortable for longer use. What I appreciate most is the reliability. It starts every time, runs smooth, and doesn’t overcomplicate anything. It’s the kind of tool you grab when you don’t want to think twice, you just want it done right. Overall, it’s a dependable, professional-grade tool that feels like it can handle jobsite work or home projects without missing a beat.

Absolute beast of a drill. By far the most powerful drill I've ever used and love that it has the new anti-spin technology. This prevents me from having my wrist snapped when using larger holes saws and other bits that require a lot of torque. It's also very hand to be able to position the little LED light on the drill and have it run for 20 minutes. It is a heavy drill, so be prepared for that, but overall it is still relatively compact compared to some of my older Dewalt drills. The bar also has a new system which is very secure when cranked down. It doesn't allow for infinite adjustment like the old one did, but this new one is much more secure feeling. So I don't mind the trade off.

In terms of ergonomics, although it is robust and well-built, here appears its only point for improvement: the weight. It is a heavier tool than average, which can be felt during long workdays or overhead work. However, to be fair, that weight is directly related to the power and robustness of the tool. In other words, it is not a defect as such, but a natural consequence of its high-performance design. Conclusion: If you are looking for a drill with outstanding power, excellent percussion, and professional performance, this model is hard to beat. It is not the lightest, but it more than compensates with its work capacity. Would I buy it again? Without a doubt. It is a tool that transmits total confidence and performs even in the most demanding jobs. Ideal if you prioritize performance over lightness.
