Can someone recommend what size finishing nails and a good construction adhesive for already painted drywall. Also would I have to scuff up the paint?

I used loctite construction adhesive and 16 gauge brads or a small finish nail. As far as the preconstruction wall. I would wash the wall in advance. I put a quick coat of dark paint down to help in the event there was any showthrough. But if your wall is already painted a color that wouldn’t look bad behind the wood you can start putting up the planks after the washed wall is dry.

How much would I need for a 6x4 space

that is 24 square feet….so you will need to buy 3 orders of 10 sq ft

Would these work on a concrete/cinder block wall? What adhesive would you recommend for that? I don’t want to drill holes in the wall.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work as long as you use an adhesive that bonds to wood and concrete, I used liquid nails and I think that would for you too but double check. Mine is held on mostly by adhesive, i used pin nails basically to hold it place while adhesive dried. You would need to make sure pressure is applied till adhesive sets
