Durable, Easy-to-Use Visual Cards That Support Daily Routines and Transitions
I got this set for my 3.5-year-old nonverbal grandson, who has challenges not just with speech but overall communication. The cards are a great size for small hands—large enough to see clearly, but not bulky—and the colors and images are bright, simple, and easy to interpret at a glance. There are three themed decks: Behavior, Routine, and Interaction. I’ve been using the Routine cards to create a daily visual schedule using poster boards, which helps him anticipate transitions like brushing teeth or getting dressed. While he isn’t actively using the cards yet, I’m introducing them during activities to build familiarity and understanding. They’re straightforward and intuitive to teach, which makes them very easy to use for caregivers. The durability is excellent—each card is laminated and holds up well to mouthing, bending, and daily handling. The included clip and elastic strap stretch easily without wearing out, and the clip attaches securely to a belt loop, bag, or stroller. This is a high-quality tool that’s practical and thoughtfully designed for parents, teachers, and therapists working with young children.

Decent Starter Set, but Room for Improvement
I purchased the QUOKKA Autism Learning Materials for my niece, who is autistic and quite limited verbally. We're always looking for tools to help her express her needs and feelings, and visual cards are a big part of her communication. What I liked:* Good Range of Cards: The set offers 94 cards covering emotions, routines, and daily needs, which is a decent starting point for building a communication vocabulary.* Water-Resistant: The cards feel durable and are water-resistant, which is essential for kids. They seem like they'll hold up to some wear and tear.* Convenient Rings & Clip: The included three rings and clip are very practical for organizing the cards and attaching them to a bag or belt loop, making them portable.Areas for improvement:* Picture Clarity/Simplicity: While the pictures are colorful, some of them are a bit too busy or not as universally clear as I'd hoped for a child with communication challenges. Simpler, more direct iconography might be more effective for some concepts. My niece sometimes struggles to immediately grasp the meaning of certain cards.* Lack of Customization/Expansion: It's a fixed set, and while comprehensive, every child's communication needs are unique. There aren't blank cards or an easy way to integrate custom pictures for highly specific needs or preferences that might come up. For my niece, we often need very specific visual cues that aren't included.* Organization: While the rings are good, the sheer number of cards means flipping through them can be a bit cumbersome, especially if you're looking for something quickly in a moment of frustration. A more structured organizational system (like tabbed dividers or pre-sorted categories) might be helpful.Overall, it's a solid, affordable starter set for visual communication. It definitely has its uses, especially with the water-resistant feature and portability. However, for a child like my niece who is severely limited verbally, we found ourselves needing more precise and customizable options. It's a good supplement, but may not be a complete solution on its own.

Good for non-verbal or selectively mute kids with ASD
These are great for littles who are visual learners as well as non-verbal or selectively mute autistic children. This comes with three sets of cards about the size of a playing card. Not very waterproof. The choices could definitely be overwhelming to a child if you were to take all the cards with you. I would definitely suggest selecting which ones you feel you will use most often and put those together on a ring. Even a card collector’s binder with card sleeves might help make choosing less cumbersome than the rings. There are plenty of cards for so many situations and the artwork is good enough that even a 3 year old can guess what it says. I’d say this is a great value but I wish the cards were a little more durable.

Perfect for my nonverbal autistic child
I absolutely love these communication cards for my nonverbal 11-year-old autistic son. These have 90 cards that demonstrate by a short statement and depiction of three types of verbal communication; interaction, behavior, and routine. For example, one interaction card states, “I need to use the toilet” and it shows a picture of a toilet. One of the behavior cards state, “sit on the floor“ and it shows a picture of a child sitting. As for the routine cards, one of the card’s state, “wake up!“ And show a little girl in bed with a clock over her head as well as a window showing the sun. I noticed there are more interaction cards. These three types of communication cards come in three different colors, green, blue and yellow, along with color coordinated rings that attach to a keychain that is also included with this set.

Great product for speech delay, autism, etc!!!
I got these for my kids with autism and speech delay. Immediately my 3.5 year old started looking at them and using them to communicate easily! Yes!!! They are very vibrant. Easy to hold for little hands and easy to read. They include a photo on each card so it’s easier to understand what each says. it includes a ton of cards for the price and rings to clip them on, so we clipped the ones we will use most so we don’t have to flip thru a ton of cards. We have used them every day since we received them and have helped tremendously!!! 10/10
