You want it!
The unit is GREAT! I use it to drill 1" x 8" into fully cured concrete foundations. This unit works as good as, if not better than my Makita AVT corded drill. The Dewalt has a lot less vibration than the Makita also. It bores smooth and quick, rebar is no problem either. With roughly 100 holes drill I have had no binds or anything. Each charge on the 9.0 AH battery gets me 19 to 21 holes and I drill 24 to 40 a day so the 2 batteries will carry me through a work day. This drill is every bit as powerful as a corded drill in my opinion. **UPDATE** After about 2 months this drill is as impressive as first thought. The battery life has leveled off to about 17 1"x 8" holes drilled per charge. Still nice considering i'm not fighting the cord. I have encountered a couple of binds and the protection operates as it should.

Great Rotary Hammer
I have used this a few times now and I really like it. It comes with two 9.0 Ah Flexvolt batteries which if bought separately would cost almost half of the price I paid for this set. The 9.0 Ah batteries are good for this rotary hammer because it draws quite a bit of power. Safety: The active vibration control works really good and it protects both handles. Even when doing heavy duty chipping for an almost an hour my hands hardly even notice the vibration. Although I have not had a bind up situation yet I feel much better with the safety of Dewalt's E-clutch system which they say minimizes sudden torque reaction compared to standard clutches The case is durable and has space for lots of goodies such as drill bits, chisels, a clay spade, and more. I also bought an SDS Max - SDS Plus adapter so I can use SDS Plus attachments. I also bought an SDS Plus to 1/2" chuck adapter so I can use this when I need a drill with really high torque or if I ever need to use non SDS drill bits. The only con's I can think of are: - It doesn't have a variable speed trigger. - It is pretty heavy for overhead drilling or chipping. If I was going to be doing overhead drilling or chipping on a regular basis I might even consider buying a smaller rotary hammer as well. For me these issues are not a big deal and overall I am really happy with this purchase. When I was considering this purchase I found the information and reviews on this to be in short supply so I checked for reviews & questions and answers on Amazon.ca, Amazon.com, Dewalt.com, and Youtube.com but there was still less information available than on many other DeWalt tools. If you have any specific questions then ask them on Amazon.ca and I will do my best to answer them.

This is a great tool and I recommend it to everyone.
I use this beast of a tool every chance I get.. I just love it. It has helped tremendously when out in the middle of no where and need to destory/drive things. The two 3.0ah batteries (9ah in 20v) will last you a good 20-30 minutes continuous each when I was driving a ground rod. It definitely beats breaking out the sledge hammer! I added a very short video of it driving a ground rod but take my word for it. It does whatever you need!! This is the 6.1 joules and the new one I heard is 13. I'm sure that would be much better! Probably will suck the battery a bit more though. This was my best buy yet.. I have most of the 60v line as the joist drill was a hell of a buy too!
