I was hesitant to buy this after some reviews about it not getting hot enough. This thing got me through my wisdom teeth extraction. I had a tooth lodge sideways in my jar and recovery was awful. I needed heat therapy and this thing was amazing. It has a low, med, high, temp setting on it and a timer as well. Yes it might not be hot to touch but if you’re wearing it and remove it you can definitely tell the heat was there. I would recommend it to anyone have dental work.

I’ve been using this for a while now for my TMD. My muscles are my biggest issue causing this disorder. It heats nicely and feels comfortable. My 2 complaints is I wish it was chargeable instead of needing to be plugged in because I’m stuck in one place. The second is I wish the heat went higher up on the straps . I am still using this until I find something better. It definitely does the job

Overall, I’m very pleased with this product. It does what it intends and is easy to use. My only complaint is that it doesn’t get hot enough, but that’s probably for safety reasons. Definitely helps my neck and jaw pain.

However, even on the highest setting it barely gets warm. It feels more like a gentle lukewarm compress than actual therapeutic heat. For TMJ or mild discomfort it might be okay, but for real post-surgical swelling and soreness, it’s not strong enough. USB-powered heaters like this often have heat limitations, but I expected more based on the description. If you’re looking for noticeable heat relief after dental surgery, I’d recommend a traditional plug-in heating pad.
