Q: Is there a difference between the gold and black wavers?

Hot tools’ black irons are ceramic coated. Ideal for damaged or thinner hair. Gold is more ideal for thicker, coarser hair, as it usually needs more heat to break curl patterns. I prefer their titanium or gold irons, as it gets my hair smoother (thick hair with texture) however this ceramic waver works well on my hair for what I want. Works really well on my daughters’ hair (thin).

Q: Is this Hot Tools Pro good for crimping medium length hair?

My hair hits between shoulder blade area and I have layers and it does well! It actually looks more natural on my shorter hair verses longer!
