Great game for young minds
Got this game for my 7 year old's birthday. He's a cat lover and loves Clue Jr. We love this game because of the ease of play and the quick reset for next game. We also love that you can play solo or with 2 players, unlike many games that require 3+ to be enjoyable; making it a fun pick for only children or small families. The puzzles are a great introduction to logic and critical thinking for young minds. The game makes a great visual for learning"if-then" conditional statements. The only downside would be the replay value once you inevitably make it through the deck of cards. But I think the learning value as a teaching tool is worth the cost. If the game designer ever came out with expansion packs of the cards, or downloadable puzzles, that would keep the value higher.

Logic Practice
I was hesitant to get this, since there are only 40 cards. My 7 year old loves dogs and games, though, so the tooth fairy brought her Dog Crimes (due to Covid, she gets something to play at home right now). The very first card was insanely easy, it told you where to put each character. I rolled my eyes and buckled in for a long game of boring. It turned out to be a lot more challenging and thus more fun, though, so I got Cat Crimes to take into my 8th grade classroom. I feel like most of the Cat Crimes are more challenging than Dog Crimes (that could very well just be me, though). My students (mostly 13-14) actually really enjoyed this. They enjoyed working together on the more difficult cards. It was good to stretch their brains and to get them to work with inferencing and logical deduction (we've been working on this). I teach Language Arts and this will definitely be in my rotation now to get them thinking in new ways. The game plays like logic grids, but with more physical visualization (and it's easier to backtrack if you make a mistake). I like that my kids (both at home and in school) are able to see the process a little more clearly. Many of my students struggle with this kind of thinking, so this was good practice, low stakes, and just for fun for them. **My only complaint - the size of the box is great, but it's designed in a way that you have to take off the little stands every time you want to put it up. That's frustrating, because every other game, I always leave them put together, but they won't fit like that in here. Not worth taking off a star, but worth mentioning.

Fun game that helps build critical thinking skills.
We got this for my son on a whim for Christmas one year, and it turned out to be one of his favorite presents. It's super easy to set up, fun to play, and packs up easily, so it's great for vacations and getaways where you may need a game to keep your family entertained during bad weather. My only caveat is that there are only so many scenarios in the game, so once you've played it a lot, there's no real way of extending the play life, as you'll remember the answers to all the puzzles eventually.

Can be played alone or with a small group
I played this with my two kids (5 and 9). The 5 year old enjoyed placing the kitties where we thought they should go and checking our answers when we were done. My 9 year old and I worked on the logic puzzles together. The easy cards were rather easy, but they were a nice intro to logic and my 5 year old could chime in with some suggestions. My husband tried an expert card and gave up after several fails. He might have done better it he read the bios of each of the cats in the instruction manual to find out which cats really have blue eyes..... My family loves animals, especially cats. The cat theme caught their interest and the joy of solving the mystery/ logic puzzle kept the interested. Older kids may try an easy card as a warm up, but quickly move to the more advanced cards. It would be nice if there were additional cards to purchase since the game is not very interesting after you have solved all of the puzzles. After you have solved all the puzzles, I suggest donating it your favorite elementary school teacher as an indoor recess option..... The pieces are made of sturdy cardboard and it takes up little space to play. If you like logic puzzles and want to teach your kids about them. I would highly suggest this game.

SINGLE PLAYER GAME but can be played together as a team!
Sooo I totally missed the fact that this was a single player game when I purchased it BUT I actually ended up liking it for that. My just turned 8yo can do the easy cards on her own but itโs also fun to work together as a team with the harder cards. There are 40 different challenge cards separated into three levels of difficulty. And unless you have a photographic memory, over time, the cards can easily be played more than once. They start off VERY simple and get increasingly more difficult and require you to go back and reread the clue over again or switch up your original cat clue placement. I was really impressed with the quality of the game prices as well. Very sturdy for not being plastic and super easy set-up. My daughter loves mystery/detective stuff so this game is perfect for her when she needs to fill some non-electronic down time but we also had fun playing it together.

Bought this...and then found out they already had it...but they did love it!
Was so happy to find a game that makes the kids think! And this is perfect. Does start out pretty easy and then gets harder. Was sad they already had it...and yet, they kept saying that they loved it! They will re-gift this to another young girl that also loves cats. So, if your child (boy or girl) loves cats, loves to solve things...this is a perfect gift!!!

The Cutest Problem Solving Game! Meowzers!
Thoroughly enjoyed by a 7 year old for Christmas! Fun for the whole family to do together as well even though it's a single player game. Great quality of product and clues have ranges of difficulty. Teaches problem solving in a super cute way! Would definitely recommend!
