Genuinely a great product - i use almost a dozen govee products from light bulbs to ceiling fans - These are super bright for their size and the colors are vivid. I have them connected to my govee buttons and my google home allowing me to control it without even opening the app. It connects to my network well and can be controlled via wifi or bluetooth. The range of colors is limitless and the set up process was super easy. Been using for over a yr w no issues - 10/10

I’ve already reviewed the excellent Govee A19 bulbs (1000 lumens) and the more disappointing BR30s (850 lumens). The E12 bulbs were the last piece in replacing all the lights throughout my home. Thankfully, they’re much more in line with the quality of the A19s than the BR30s. Despite having fewer lumens than the other two, you’d never notice. These bulbs are impressively bright for their size, which says a lot about Govee’s consistency and design. As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews, setup is quick and painless. Screwing in the bulbs honestly takes longer than getting them online. You connect via Bluetooth in the Govee app, and from there, you can switch the bulbs over to your Wi-Fi network. The app gets the job done, controls are intuitive, but it still feels like it could use some visual polish and refinement. Once everything’s connected, performance is solid. Color changes are smooth, and the bulbs integrate well with Alexa and Google Assistant (HomeKit support is still clunky, even with Matter). While the app gives you the most control, basic automation works fine through your preferred smart home platform. Overall, these are great bulbs even if a bit pricier than their A19s or BR30s equivalents. Still, for those finishing off a smart lighting setup, they’re absolutely worth considering.

Honestly a great item. I wanted these to replace the included lights in my floor lamp. Govee can be a bit finicky during setup, and relying on its Bluetooth control leaves a lot to be desired in general, but the quality is great! No more finicky than most govee products and the trade off in control and brightness for the cost is definitely worth it if you dot want to spend the same for a single bulb from a different brand. They look good and do what they are supposed to. Worst case you have to make the command or push the button on a remote (separate product) twice. Have had govee bulbs for over 5 years and they always last a long time. They work seemlessly with both Google and Alexa after initial setup. Control with Alexa is a bit better and faster than Google. Highly recommend this product.

Easy to install and connect to! Love the app and the different color setting and how you can group them to do different effects. One issue I had though is when I installed these in my ceiling fan they started blinking rapidly and not staying on. I thought it was a connection issue, but it actually had to do with my ceiling fan. Older models have a “power limiter” inside of them that create electrical noise that messes with these lightbulbs. Fortunately, I’m handy with electricity and disassembled my ceiling fan and rewired it to bypass the limiter. If you run into this issue though, you might have to return these bulbs or ask an electrician to remove your fan power limiter.

Having tested these smart bulbs, which are the second brand I have used, I find no need to investigate a third. Their most attractive feature is the lack of a hub requirement. I'm currently using the Bluetooth connection on my phone although utilizing Wi-Fi would significantly expand the options and control. But it is exciting to know there is so much more to explore should I make the switch. With that in mind, I anticipate making the change soon. These Govee smart bulbs are way brighter than I thought they'd be. I can change the brightness with the app. Seriously, I think they're brighter than a lot of the big names. There's voice control, you can change the colors, make groups linking bulbs together, sync them to music, and all that. I didn't think I'd get this much for the price. As someone without expertise in technology or lighting, the features I sought were found in my Govee LED smart bulbs. I look forward to further exploration and enjoyment as I continue to use them, and I am confident that my collection of Govee products will grow. On a related note, when I mentioned my Govee smart bulbs to an IT professional at the job site, he mentioned, "Govee is at the top of producing the best smart lighting products on the market. Overall, I am more than pleased with my purchase.

As an early adopter of Belkin Wemo plugs and light switches, I was hung out to dry when Belkin abandoned Wemo. I have an old home and in order to control the lights hooked up to my Wemo switches, I needed to find switches that didn't need the 3rd wire. Plus I didn't want to have to install a proprietary hub (I already have an Apple Homepod). While it appears there are some candidates for no-third-wire, no-hub-needed smart switches, I anticipated many wasted hours and dollars getting a solution. I figured, skip the switch and just get smart bulbs that work with Homekit via Matter compatibility. These Govee bulbs are perfect. I needed to start with the E12 (candelabra) bulbs as those were my immediate need, but Govee seems to have a lot of styles of smart bulbs (I didn't want a hundred-vendor solution). Anyway, about THIS product -- it just worked out of the box no sweat. AI inquiries told me I'd need the Govee Home app to generate the Matter ID but I didn't need it. Just plugged it in, turned it on, and added it to Homekit by hitting the "add device" button and scanning the Matter QR code on the product. Stupid simple, worked the first time, now totally integrated with my Homekit automations. Skip the switch, former Wemo users!

Easy to install, except for the very last turn of the lightbulb is sometimes not in the right position to light properly. Has a wide range of color, but not as wide as GE color lights. Does not get hot quickly as it is an LED. Very bright on its highest setting, so I am satisfied with how well it works.

Updating my Ikea lights and these fit the bill. The install was the easiest I've ever been experienced. I have no idea why people return these a lot. Maybe they don't know that it's an E12 but either way, I'm very happy. Might have to fully switch over to Govee.

First the good: - It works - The bulbs are pretty bright. - The controls on the app are good, set up was easy. - Good range of effects - Can set up voice commands using your phone instead of an alexa The bad: - The range of the colours on the bulb is WAY more limited than the options shown on the app. - Not intuitive for more complex customization and commands/voice commands. - you cannot set a voice command to or make a preset that synchronizes the lights to music.
