Betty Crocker REESE'S Peanut Butter No Bake Bars Mix With HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Frosting, 17.3 oz

I celebrate these bars, and I sing them— the Betty Crocker REESE’S Peanut Butter No-Bake Bars, humble in preparation yet vast in pleasure, a democracy of sweetness laid bare upon the kitchen counter. Here is the peanut butter, rich and honest, here the chocolate, dark as a summer night and just as welcoming. No oven hums, no heat demands obedience; the hand stirs, the spoon presses, the pan waits patiently— as if saying, you already have what you need. I behold these bars cooling, setting, becoming themselves, and I see America in them: quick, generous, unpretentious, made for gatherings, for children’s laughter, for the solitary soul who cuts one square and says, this is enough— no, this is abundance. Each bite is communion: oats, cocoa, peanut butter speaking in one voice, not competing but agreeing. They ask little, give much, and leave joy lingering like a good line of poetry remembered hours later. Five stars, yes—but more than stars: these bars are a chorus, and I am glad to join in.

These taste just like Reese's Cups, and costs less than Reese's Cups even after adding butter. Could use a bit more icing. Suggest refrigerating the peanut butter mixture for a bit before applying the icing. Makes it easier to spread the icing when the peanut butter mix is a little bit hardened. I also use parchment paper instead of greasing the bottom of the pan.

This was a fun dessert for the kids to make, easy and quick. Like that it is no bake, and the kids liked the flavor. I however found it to taste a bit like fake food... reminded me of easy bake oven treat flavors from the 80's. Maybe I just like real chocolate and peanut butter flavors though. It turned out pretty good consistency/ texture wise and was moist. Good value for the money, and the perfect size for a family of 4. Like I said, the kids and even hubby liked it, it did taste a lot like the peanutbutter cups, but I felt like it could use more chocolate to peanut butter ratio.

This was simply delightful! It is so easy to make, that I do suggest even a toddler can make it with you! It only takes 20 minutes to form in the refrigerator which is perfect especially for the little ones who need a quick treat! I did feel there was not enough chocolate frosting so I added some fudge frosting to it. Great quality! Very much satisfying! Great price!

The peanut butter mixture is a little grainy, but the taste is fine, but the topping the chocolate they do not give you near enough going off of the directions off the back of the box it only covered about half of the pan that it tells you to use. They come as picture just the measurements don’t equate for the a complete whole chocolate layer over the peanut butter mix mixture. However, is a very easy quick dessert if that is the goal.
