Rockstar Energy Drink, Throwback Edition: O.G. Sugar Free, 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 12)

Please bring the OG Sugar free back! It is my absolute favorite. I was so excited when I saw it was available and then super sad when my subscription was canceled. The new one is wayyyyy too sweet.

This is my favorite Rockstar flavor, and I am glad the throwback version is available. The taste is exactly what I want from a Rockstar, and the retro can design makes it even better. If you prefer this flavor over the newer varieties, purchasing it by the case is convenient and keeps the refrigerator stocked.

I have been drinking SugarFree Rockstars for over 15 years. When Pepsi bought them they changed the formula back in 2020 or 2021. It was absolutely disgusting, and like many others, I wrote Pepsi to complain. I will give them credit, they TRIED to go back to the OG SugarFree formula with this “Throwback version” but it’s not the exact same. It is close though. 1000% better than that garbage they sold before this recent change. Nice work Pepsi! Thanks for listening to the thousands of people that complained.

UPDATE: Welp. Review moved from 5 stars to 1. They've changed the formula again, and the "OG" formula now tastes just like the rotten stuff at the gas stations. Dear PepsiCo: We want the OG *DRINK,* not the *CAN.* The new "OG" formula tastes horrible, and is NOT what it is advertised as being. Save your money. Try Nerd Focus or something else. This is horrific.This stuff right here is rocket fuel for those of us who don't want to drink melted gummy bears out of a can. It's not too sweet, it's delicious, low-calorie, and does what it says on the tin. Sadly, PepsiCo decided that that their new flavor is somehow superior, despite being so sweet it makes my family and I sick when we drink it.This is the product that PepsiCo customer service linked us to when we called in to complain and to beg for the old flavor to come back, and after an email a few days ago, they said they're working to get us some more.Fingers crossed that this isn't the end of the line! It's just a pity that we're getting wrecked on the price when we CAN get it. It's nearly double the price I was able to find at my local grocery or convenience stores, but if that's what I've got to pay to get the only flavor I can tolerate, so be it!

My husband and I have been drinking this for over 15 years. We each sip on one per day and it was the morning drink we look forward to. We knew the day would come when this would be discontinued and that day arrived about a month ago. But this was by far the best energy drink for us.
