This includes garlic, onion, scallions, shallot, leek, and chives and many other plants less likely to be in a kitchen. All parts of the plant at any stage of development and in any form (minced, juiced, , dried, powdered, chips, etc.) is toxic to cats and dogs. Small amounts that may not appear to be harming them can be accumulating in their system until it reaches a toxic level.
