This is a great little product. The fit is perfect and almost doubles as a wrist support. I have wore this for the past week after a thumb injury that was niggling at me for weeks and it has greatly improved the discomfort and pain. It doesn’t restrict any movement of the other fingers and still allows you to complete most working tasks without restriction. Highly recommend

Occasionally, I get a severe pain in my right thumb, from overuse (clicking on a Wacom pen-stylus all day or from doing too much crochet and gripping the hood way too tightly). Immobilizing it for even a few hours is sometimes enough to relieve the pain. Immobilizing it overnight is also helpful, so that I don't constantly grab the blankets and irritate the joint. On rare occasions, I need to wear a brace for several days in order to get full relief. I have a similar brace, but it's much bulkier and requires more adjustment to make it just right. My other one does have a much sturdier stay in it than this one ha, so, when I first put this one on, I didn't think it would work as well, since it allowed for much more movement of the thumb. However, simply tightening the strap around the end of the thumb really did the trick - it mad it much sturdier and prevented a lot more unwanted movement. Now, I think that I like this one better. It's much more comfortable, less bulky, especially in the palm, and it allows for more freedom of movement in the rest of my hand/fingers, while still immobilizing my thumb and wrist enough to provide the relief I need. It is easier to adjust than my other brace.As far as the fit goes, I am a female with relatively large hands (not huge, but I do wear large gloves and have a wide wrist - I wear 8" bracelets). I almost got the large instead, but decided to try the S/M instead (mainly because it had the pink trim and the L didn't). As it turns out, the S/M was definitely the way to go - it fits great. Once I tightened the thumb, I found that this one was much easier to get placed correctly than my previous brace, and it provided just as much support, while being more comfortable, much thinner, and allowing for complete freedom with my other fingers on the keyboard. It doesn't provide any padding, which the other brace did, but that's not something I really need, and for me. this brace is the better option. The listing currently shows that the item is unavailable - I hope that is just temporary, because I think I would probably order another one as a backup.
