Pondworx Pond Bacteria - Formulated for Water Features and Safe for Koi (4 Gallon Value Pack)

Good quality and exactly what I needed I’ve been using this for about 2 months and so far I’m really happy with it. It keep my pond looking clean. For the price, I think it’s a good option for something affordable to keep the pond clean and the fishes happy.

I’ve been using a few years. I have a pond that is about 6500 gallons which is mostly shaded and gets a lot of tree debris in it. I use as directed in spring when water temps are over 50 degrees & continue until late fall. It takes a couple of months to clear up floating algae that makes the pond cloudy/murky but by July, the pond is crystal clear.

It definitely kills algae which had me cleaning my filters every day in my skimmer filter. The water never did seem to clear up though. I added a two stage gravity filter and the pond id crystal clear. Now I add the chemical weekly and all is clear, fish are happy and so am I

Update: this worked well at first then seemed to cause more muck than it got rid of and we lost a lot of blue gill. ******************************((( We have a fairly large pond (@ 1/4 acre and 8 ft deep) and have koi so did not want anything that was toxic to control the algae. This combined with the dye works well. We had a lot of algae on the sides of the pond, my husband scooped as much out as he could then added 1/2 gallon of this and it cleared within a week. We had a drought that almost emptied the pond last year, then received enough rain this spring to fill it back up so the good bacteria needed to be restored, which this did.

I’m an aquarium enthusiast and use other brand chemicals for my aquarium. I ended up with a koi pond later and have been using this ever since. I will say that this product has been amazing to use. Algae and muck are an afterthought. So in love with this product that I’ve been playing mental chess with myself to start using it in my aquarium. Highly recommend for your ponds!

I used this item just as the instructions stated but notbing different happened. I tried it in my smaller pond and the water is still dirty and mucky days after. Water still smells days after. It did nothing different and i really do feel like i wasted my money so ill search for another to use

Water is Clear. Although I bought this to kill algae and then found it doesn’t kill algae. Still a good product. Would buy again for muck control.

My small koi pond was full of algae due to direct sunlight for more than 10 hours a day. Despite 2 UV lamps algae still cover 70% of the sides and base. 2 weeks after applying Pondworx the base and sides began to clear up to 40% and the aeration pumps also became more vigorous! Bought second bottle already!

My garden has a very large natural pond which unfortunately had a problem with biofilm. I used the full container of PondWorx Pond Bacteria and the following day the pond was much improved; a couple of days on and the pond has greatly improved and the water is clear. I can actually see the fish again, which by the way are unharmed. I would definitely recommend and will continue to use periodically or should the pond have another problem with biofilm. Depending on the size of your pond it could become expensive, however this works.

This bacteria works great. I start using it in the spring and before long, maybe a couple of months all the sludge in the bottom of the pond is just gone. If you want to accelerate the process, I noticed if you add an air hose to the area it works even faster
