Light weight, high calorie, and delicious
This is the best on the go snack ever! Especially if you are not in the best state of mind. They are sealed in a thick resilient envelope with a standard paper wrapper around the freeze dried ice cream sandwich itself. It is easy to pack and very light weight. It is very crunchy, and dry, but otherwise it’s an ice cream sandwich. It is a very novel and uplifting food item. When you consider the cost you need to think of the extreme shelf life and zero energy required to store it. They are not cheap.

Great taste! Quality product.
First off I want to address a lot of the negative reviews. People are complaining this product is hard, yes it is, it is a freeze dried ice cream sandwich. The process of freeze drying removes the water. This is not a chewy cookie, this product was made to be able to put in a backpack while you go hiking and survive the rigors of expedition. Onto the product, the flavor is great it is definitely a chocolate mint ice cream sandwich. The ice cream is creamy as you chew it and the exterior cookie is chocolatey like an Oreo. This is a very nice dessert after a day of hiking or Mountain biking etc. we take these camping with us all the time especially during the time of year when there are burn bans and we can’t make s’more’s over a campfire, the kids absolutely love them. And quite frankly adults love them too!. With the extended shelflife I tend to buy these a case at a time and know that they will be good whenever I need them. Mountainhouse has a very long and well earned reputation of quality freeze dried food. This ice cream sandwich definitely lives up to that reputation. I would suggest it to anyone looking to add a nice treat to their backpacking food, or their emergency preps.

Sent in thin envelope and wrapper on item open
Taste was amazing. Problem is the inner wrapper on the sandwich was open on both side like a machine sliced it. Inside was all broken so it was a real mess to eat. Still the taste was good. Must package better to ship than a thin envelope
