If you want to smoke meat in your Weber grill, you need one of these stones.
Used this stone to smoke a brisket in my Weber Kettle grill. Started off with an 11 Lb packer that trimmed out to 8 Lb. I used the snake method to help keep an even burn. Placed a shallow water pan on top of the stone, then my grill grate, and finally my brisket over the water pan. Smoked for 6.5 hours @ 240, pulled out wrapped in pink butcher paper, then smoked another 6.5 hours, until internal temp was 200 degrees. Let rest for 2 hours. I used a ThermoPro TP2 to monitor ambient smoker temp and meat temp. The stone kept the ambient temp around the meat very consistent once I got the airflow dialed in. This was my first time smoking a brisket and it turned out excellent IMO. Good bark, nice smoke ring, very moist and tender. I'm really happy with how the stone performed.

Great Customer Support
So I bought the BBQ Dragon Smoking Stone in June and used it twice, on my second use while letting the stone cool inmy Weber Kettle, the stone cracked, this was on a Saturday, I sent out an email to BBQ Dragon to reach out to them to see if I could possibly file for a warranty replacement. The next day Sunday (BBQ Dragon is closed) I still get a response back from Stephanie, she asked if I could send her a pic of the crack which I did and she quickly responded on the same day that they would work on getting me a new Stone, due to them being closed on Sunday she said she would contact me the next day Monday, which she did she said that they were prepping to ship a new Smoking Stone, and with in a few days they shipped me a new one. For a company who is closed on Sunday and still able to take the time to respond to my email and to approve for me to receive a new product, is top notch in my book. Thank Stephanie for taking the time to assist me on your day off. Much Mahalo.

Great heat deflector! Had issue and customer service responded quickly
Did great for deflecting the heat as advertised and brisket came out awesome. However noticed a crack from outer edge to middle when finished cook and when removing from kettle it broke in half. Again food came out great, deflected heat not sure if i got a lemon. I emailed customer service and they responded back quickly they would be bappy to send me a replacement.

needs a couple improvements.
This broke in half the second time we used while we had to remove to restoke charcoal during cook. It took very little Terribly difficult to install with hot coals. Adding a handle at the balance point would help immensely. One other problem is that the second time we used; once we had to remove the plate in order to adjust the coals and when we picked it up with hot-gloves in the center it snapped down the middle. The Third time we used it we used a fire brick from Menards and cut it down to the correct height to prop up both broken halves. Even though it was supported now by firebricks one side broke into three more pieces. I cannot imagine that we were applying too much heat. I will probably look for something ceramic that is in brick form to use instead. Using standard firebrick as an insulator around the outside of the grills fire chamber for maintaining heat loss is good but not transmitting heat to food. So this ceramic insert works but I expected it would stay in one piece for a couple of cooks before I would have to re-engineer it. This would also definitely be worth 5 stars if it would stop from crumbling when it's hot. Edit: we have been still using this in 6 peices. It crumbles a little more every use. No reply from customer service.

Excellent addition to Weber grill.
This stone does it's job as advertised. It adds thermal mass and if used correctly it will prevent flairups from burning your food. Customer service acted very quickly and professional replacing my stone that split into after a few cooks. I would recommend this stone to better cook those low and slow meats.

Best product for the money 💰!
The best product to keep temperatures consistent throughout your cook time. Works well with the charcoal snake method and wood. I can't say enough good things about this product! Worth every penny I spent!This is product works so well that I had to have two. One for each Weber 22.5" I have. Smoking chuck roast, keeps temperatures around 225-250°F. They turn out fabulously. Thank you BBQ Dragon for a wonderful product!

Works great but...
Bought this several months ago and it works great in assisting maintaining consistent temperatures. Used it around 6 times, never dropped or mishandled, broke almost in half this past weekend while cooking ribs on my Weber 22 inch kettle. Sturdiness seems to be an issue based on other reviews, now happened to me. Reached out on an email to the company on their official website and never heard back from them.

Thermal Mass!!
One of the downsides of a Weber Kettle is that they do not retain heat well making it more difficult to maintain a constant temp when cooking. The BBQ Dragon Smoking Stone heats up and DOES retain its heat well, adding thermal mass to the grill.It takes a bit longer to preheat the grill with the stone in, but that is OK because once the stone is warmed it is way easier to maintain your temp for a long cook.But it is also great just for grilling. Made wings last night with the stone in place. Got the stone hot and had the grill at 400. The wings cooked beautifully! The fat that rendered out of them hit the hot stone and vaporized to add flavor!All in all I am very pleased with the product and recommend it to anyone with a Weber Kettle.
