I bought this for my mother who is always complaining about her shoulders being cold. I'm usually apprehensive about buying this type of product since it's more of a personal preference than functionality. It's simple to use and heats quickly and to my surprise, my mother loves it. She seems to use it more on her stomach and legs than her neck but she said it's very nice to use. My mother is 90+ in age so being simple is very helpful. If she forgets to turn it off, the auto-shutoff takes over with is a positive. The power cord length is very good and the buttons are good size for her hands.

I love this heating pad! I was experiencing excruciating pain in my neck and shoulders and nothing worked. This worked VERY well. Now any time I am experiencing the slightest neck or shoulder pain I plug this in and the next day I feel much better, whereas in the past the pain would worsen by the next day. I highly recommend this item.

So I got this for a friend with lower neck/upper back and neck issues and she just loves it. What she said was she likes how it stays in place when she's sitting in a chair unlike just a regular rectangular heating pad.
