Lisle 57050 4-5/8" Truck Swivel Gripper

Works Great! I've been using a strap wrench on my 7.3L Ford Power Stroke. Just used this wrench and it's a huge improvement. Grips much better and makes for a quick oil change. This size is perfect for the FL-1995 filter used on the 7.3L I don't know why I didn't buy one of these sooner.

Used it this morning, works easily and perfectly. You may need to loosen the lock nut for it to pivot, and it pivots nicely to allow for use in tight spots. It has spot welded texture on the inside of the band so it won't slip on the filter during use. It appears to be very well made and should last me for the rest of my life ;) Fits perfectly on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L engine. Highly recommended!

Took awhile to find a actual oil wrench. Other ways to remove oil filters FAILED repeatedly. Got a few sizes of these and the fit is pretty good. Very easy to use with little slippage. The oil filter went on and off easily so it has good removal and good grip with decent speed of use. It wasn't to thin and flimsy like some other brands. Would have like a bit more tension on the swivels in the handles. Overall its woth the money.

The original 3” inch oil filter on my relatively new car was exceptionally tight. The filter is also not very accessible. I couldn’t budge it with a crown or cap type wrench that I have had in my tool box for years. The wrench didn’t fit tightly enough and it slipped as I increased the force needed to turn the filter. I then bought filter/PVC pipe pliers that is described (Amazon) as suitable for small oil filters. I thought it would fit between the pipes near the filter. However, I couldn’t apply the necessary turning force without gripping the filter so tightly that it began to crush. In the past I’ve had the best success with strap type filter wrenches. So I then purchased this wrench (also from Amazon). It seems well designed and made. The gripping surface is metal with some abrasion points that provide for a non-slip grip on the filter. This was essential in my case, because I had to apply such a large force to break the filter loose. The wrench also has a feature that allows the handle to be offset. I found this to be very useful for avoiding the various obstructions. I am very pleased with the performance of this wrench in this exceptionally difficult application. I rated the wrench 5 stars for ease of use, but this is not an easy task. I rated it 5 stars for durability, but I haven't used it long enough to say how long it will last. However, based on its design and my experience with similar items I expect it will last as long as I'll ever need it.

Works well. Non slip grip

I've got a small boat with a Racor filter tucked underneath the engine well. It's always been a complete pain to change. This is a perfect tool, nice and compact, great secure grip and adjustable angle, making a pain in the neck job much easier.

I had to replace my old one and this was the Only one I found to do the job. The adjustable handle makes it more adaptable than my old one. For the small diameter subaru oil filter I had to put a rag round the filter canister to prevent it from slipping. It works like a charm

I bought this wrench to open water filters from Rainfresh model: RO 450. Recommended.

I've got shed loads of tools including strap wrenches, chain wrenches, clamp types etc but then encountered a 91mm 16flute fuel filter on a Volvo V60 hybrid and nothing would release it. I was dubious about this one but it's great quality, solid, really well made. I was concerned it would damage the filter housing but it grips so well it was effortless. I'm genuinely well impressed, one of the best tools, if not the best I've bought in years. I could bin quite a few of my old ones, the others are useless in comparison.
