I'm so glad I bought these, they really pulled my pirate costume together. The best part is that since you wear them over your shoes, you can wear your most comfortable ones when trick or treating or partying. They will not fit over a boot, but they will make any shoes you are wearing look like it is a boot. I wore it over black leggings, and I think that made them more realistic looking than if I'd worn them against my skin as pictured. The material is thin, but not fragile. I'm a medium build and it fit me just fine, but, it may not fit someone with big or muscular calves.

These boot covers are so cool looking I wish they would fit better. They run VERY small. My calves are 14 and I barely got them on. It was too tight on my over the knee area, not very flattering. Maybe better after tights are on.Material is VERY thin and could be ripped easily. I was very, very careful pulling them on and off. The buckles are cool looking but do not add help to the sizing conundrum.For a teenage girl or small adult, these would be great! A One Size item should have more versatility of sizing for more people and sizing should be listed in the ad as small.

These boot covers will be a great addition for your pirate maiden costume, but only if you have very thin legs.The Good Points: 1. elastic at the top should keep the "boots" in place at the knees. 2. short elastic at the foot is supposed to slip over the sole of the shoe to hold the boot cover in place. 3. super cute vinyl boot covers.The Not-So-Good Points: 1. these boot covers are super tight, and can only be worn by those with very thin legs! 2. the buckles you see in the picture are ornamental only; they cannot be used to open the leggings wider while putting them on. 3. the short elastic at the foot does not look very substantial, but I can't speak to its durability, as I could not get the boot covers on at all.Sadly, this accessory did not work for me, due to not-so-good points 1 & 2!

My legs are very slim and I couldn’t fit on this boots. Very tide on the top and on the bottom. Very cheap material and it feel like wearing a plastic bag, at any moment it will damage. I returned the the next day, not worth it.

They are cute, and tight. If your boots have large upper tops, I’m not sure they will fit. My daughter wore flats and pulled the boots up over her calves.

They were light weight, yet durable, and I received them on time. However, I had a hard time pulling them over my boots. I think they work better with short boots or shoes, so rating four stars. They would have been easier to put on if they snapped around the bottom of the shoe.

These are for costume purposes. Which is what I bought them for. First, they do not fit everyone. They were way too small. And very cheaply made tore up just by putting them on. One of the buckles was torn off when it came out of the package. Had to throw them away.

These worked out well for me. I am athletic but a petite person. I consider my calves to be a normal size. Some reviewers wrote that the boot covers were too narrow. They were perfect for me but there was not any additional room. If I were any bigger, I probably would have had issues with them. They should come in different sizes. I almost didn't order them because of other reviewers comments.

Fits exactly looks great

I bought these to wear at the office for tomorrow as we are having a pirate day for charity. However the boot covering have to be altered as the width of the leg could be a couple of inches wider as they were too small.

Very narrow calf area. I tried them on and they bunch at the bottom because they won't go all the way up the calf part. I was afraid I would tear them to get them off and I don't have fat legs. 5'10" ,long legs.Pretty sure blood circulation would be cut off if I wore them for an hour.I will return them.My brown winter boots will do.

These looked awesome but where difficult to get on with tall boots and I had to cut them off.
